A Little Summer Reminder 😎

The next few days are set to be very hot and humid here.

If you find yourself feeling a little more tired, less motivated, or not quite as productive as usual, that's completely normal.

Your body is working harder than you realise to keep you cool, so this isn't the time to push through exhaustion or expect yourself to operate at full speed.

Slow down where you can. Take regular breaks. Move tasks around if they can wait. And most importantly, keep hydrated.

Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is look after yourself first.

So be kind to yourself this week.
The to-do list will still be there when the temperature drops.

How are those who are hands on therapists finding ways to keep your treatment room and clients cool if you don't have the luxury of air con?

✨Every Therapist Needs Support at Some Point

Running a therapy business can feel overwhelming, and having the right guidance can make all the difference. Strong support, clear direction and practical strategies help you grow with confidence instead of guessing your way through.

What We Offer

Our coaching and mentoring programmes are designed specifically for therapists. We blend industry knowledge, lived experience and mindset strategies to give you the tools you need to build a sustainable, successful business.

Debbie and Amy bring decades of combined experience in Health, Wellness and Beauty. Both are fully qualified teachers with extensive backgrounds in education, business and client work. Debbie has been a therapist since the 80s, teaching since the early 90s, and is also a clinical hypnotherapist and mindset coach. Amy has grown up in the industry, managed a spa team, taught in private college and rebuilt a thriving clinic from scratch after relocating.

Together, we bring business expertise, therapeutic insight, intuition and science-backed mindset techniques. We understand how hard it can be to start, to put yourself out there and to learn everything required to market and run a business effectively. We also know that therapists need support that is patient, practical and approachable.

We offer packages and focused power sessions tailored to your needs.

If you’re ready for a business and mindset boost, send us a message and let’s talk.

🌿Friday Mindset Musings

How much does the weather affect our mood and mental wellbeing?

Personally, I think if you're feeling good about life, taking care of yourself, getting enough sleep, nourishing your body and keeping active, then sunshine is simply the icing on the cake.

But when we're tired, overwhelmed, or dealing with unexpected pressures outside our control, even something as simple as getting caught in a downpour can feel like the final straw.

Sometimes, though, a cup of tea in the sunshine can provide the perfect mini reset. I'm certainly looking forward to a brighter weekend.

One thing we often overlook when it comes to wellbeing is the power of scent.

We focus on exercise, breathing techniques, mindfulness and positive affirmations, yet rarely talk about how strongly smell influences our emotions.

Our sense of smell is linked directly to the limbic system, the part of the brain involved in memory and emotion. That's why certain scents can instantly transport us back to a particular place, person or moment in time.

As an aromatherapist, I've always been fascinated by the impact essential oils can have on our mood and wellbeing. Uplifting oils such as Rose, Grapefruit and Ylang Ylang can help create a more positive emotional state, while Rosemary is often used to support mental clarity and a great anti brain fog oil.

So if you've been feeling a little affected by the grey skies this week, perhaps take a moment to enjoy a favourite scent, open a window, step into the garden, or simply pause and notice the fragrance of the flowers around you.

The forecast looks promising for the weekend, so let's make the most of it, get outside, enjoy some sunshine and stop to smell the blooms along the way.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone

Monday Motivation
It's the start of a new week, and it's now less than four weeks until my holiday.

Full disclosure... my intention to be summer body ready hasn't quite happened.
The intention was there, but the motivation wasn't. It's been a case of "I'll start tomorrow" for far too long.

If I'm honest, I've also not been feeling completely on top of things. A series of events this year have knocked my usual positivity and motivation more than I'd like to admit.

But here's what I know:
No one is going to do this for me. If I want my business to run more smoothly, I need to put systems in place.
If I want to feel fitter, healthier and have more energy, it starts with my own daily choices.
And all those jobs around the house and garden that build up and start to feel overwhelming? They won't magically disappear. I need a plan and I need to tackle them one thing at a time.

So, the new improved me starts today.
Nothing drastic. I'm not suddenly training for a marathon, launching a huge new business project or becoming a full-time vegan overnight.
(Although if you're doing any of those things, I'll happily be your cheerleader!)

For me, it's about making a few small changes that can become lasting habits. A little more discipline. A little more consistency. A little less procrastination.

I'd love some company.

Over the next few weeks I'll be sharing some simple tweaks that can help improve our mental wellbeing, physical health and business mindset.

This isn't a challenge.
There are no rules, no costs and no pressure.
It's simply a mindset, motivation and confidence boost where we support each other and focus on small improvements that make a big difference.

We'll be letting go of some of the things that are no longer serving us physically, mentally and perhaps even in business too.

If you'd like to join me and keep each other accountable over the next few weeks, comment "I'm in" below and let's cheer each other on.

Who knows, you may even discover you gain a little extra time, energy and headspace along the way 😁

✨Friday Mindset Musings

From scorching hot to rainy season in the space of a few days. You can't beat the British weather!

Although I much prefer hot and sunny, my garden is certainly appreciating the rain we've had this week.

It's been a week filled with different activities and some pockets of good news from various people and sources. Small wins perhaps, but they all add up and certainly brighten my week.

One of the biggest highlights this week came from The Net Community Hub where I help facilitate a Tea and Chat session on Tuesday afternoons.

Community spaces like ours don't happen without the generosity of organisations willing to give back, and that support makes a real difference to the people who walk through the door each week.

This week we welcomed visitors from Grain LNG. Each year the company raises money to support local charities, with employees dedicating their own time and energy to a variety of fundraising events.

Three lovely members of the team arrived with a hamper full of goodies, tea, coffee, biscuits and other essentials that will help keep the Hub running for several weeks.

Then came an even bigger surprise.

They presented Jaye Nolan our Hub Manager, and the wonderful Fran who helps run the hub with an enormous cheque for a staggering Β£7,000.

To a small charity, that amount of money is transformational. I had to look twice at the figure on the cheque. It will make such a difference and allow the Hub to continue supporting people in our local community who need connection, companionship and a welcoming place to belong.

Whether you call it giving back or paying it forward, kindness has a ripple effect.

As the late Desmond Tutu said:

"Do your little bit of good where you are; it's those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world."

As we head into the weekend, perhaps that's something worth remembering. We don't always have to do something huge to make a difference. Sometimes the smallest acts of kindness have the biggest impact.

Anyone else had any uplifting moments this week?

Google reviews are always appreciated, but the real reward comes from seeing the positive changes my clients make in their lives.

Watching someone move from feeling overwhelmed and anxious to having clarity about their next steps, and from simply getting through the day to feeling excited about the future, is incredibly rewarding.

Working with Tracy Fensome, an amazing human being and entrepreneur, was an absolute privilege.

Whether you're looking for support with life, feeling stuck in your career, or struggling to move forward in your business, seeking help is one of the greatest acts of self-care you can give yourself.

Let's chat.

June is my favourite month it's the official start of summer 🌞

The summer solstice (around 21st June) is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere.
🐝 Bees are at their busiest during June, helping pollinate many of the flowers and crops we enjoy.
🌸 Many wildflowers reach their peak in June, creating the colourful meadows we associate with summer.
πŸŒ… increased daylight hours boost mood, energy levels and feelings of wellbeing.
πŸ“ June is traditionally the month of strawberries in the UK.

🌿 Nature is a wonderful reminder that growth doesn't happen overnight. The flowers blooming now were planted, rooted and growing long before anyone could see the results.

A new month, a new season and a gentle reminder that not everything in life has to be rushed.

The flowers don't bloom because they're under pressure. They bloom when they're ready.

Perhaps this summer is less about pushing harder and more about creating space to grow, breathe, connect and enjoy the journey.
