Another summer improvement completed!
The tarmac has now been laid, and our fantastic new outdoor space is ready for the children to enjoy when they return in September! The line markings for the courts will be added soon.
This new, secure area will provide additional space for PE lessons and our many after-school enrichment clubs throughout the year.
A huge thank you to A.A Pike Construction for completing the work and helping us to create this fantastic new space.
Another great improvement to our school site, creating even more opportunities for our children.

Calling all dads, stepdads and granddads. You have such an important role so do consider going along for a kick and have some fun!

We loved our dad's walk at the Ressie, so we've organised another get together. This time we'll be having a kickabout on the AstroTurf at Holyrood Academy.

Join us on Tuesday 25 August, from 7pm to 8pm. Expectant dad, stepdad, carer...all dads are welcome to come along and it's completely free. Just turn up! 💚💜💛

Our brilliant Site Manager, Mr Perham, ably supported by Mr Warren, is busy making further improvements to our Foundation Stage building over the summer holidays.
With new toilets, new walls and fresh painting, the building will be even better and ready to welcome the children joining our school in September.

You may have wondered why the amazing A.A Pike Construction have demolished the old EYC building at the rear of the school this week.
Following the relocation of our Early Years Centre to its fantastic new home at the front of the school, the old (and well past its sell by date) building is no longer needed.
This extremely large area will now be tarmacked to create a secure, all-weather space for PE lessons and our many sports and after school enrichment clubs.
This is the final part of Mr Talmage’s vision for developing our school site and creating the very best facilities for our children.

This looks to be a lovely free event to take the children to.

Organised by Chard Reservoir Rangers in conjunction with Chard Museum, we will be showing how to make paper planes and telling the amazing story of John Stringfellow. There will be a competition for the furthest flying plane! There will also be stalls from the RSPCA, Chard Library and Secret World.

A message from Mr Talmage
As I sit here this morning in my home with a cup of coffee, I’m slowly opening the many cards I have been given, and I honestly don’t know where to begin.
Thank you for your generosity of spirit, your kind words, your warm smiles and the love that I have been shown as I left Manor Court yesterday. Every card has been filled with the most beautiful messages (and will go into a scrap book that I will make over the summer holidays), and your thoughtful gifts were completely unexpected and deeply appreciated.
The moments, from this week, that will stay with me forever are the simple ones. The many conversations that we have had. A child in Foundation Stage quietly slipping their favourite fossil into my hand (after checking with Mum that I was allowed to keep it!), and children giving me pictures they had lovingly drawn. Those precious gifts mean more than words can say.
Thank you for trusting me with your children over the past nine years. It has been one of the greatest privileges of my life to serve this wonderful community. I leave with a full heart, immense gratitude and memories that I will cherish forever.
