🐐🌿 A wonderful real-life learning experience! 🌿🐐

We took a lovely adventure to one of our local schools to visit their new goats, and what a fantastic addition they are to the school!

Our children had a wonderful time meeting, feeding and getting to know the goats. It was such a special experience and a great opportunity for hands-on learning and making connections with the world around us.

A huge thank you to Merdon Junior Schooll for welcoming us and allowing our children to be part of this amazing experience!

🌱🍓 From strawberries to squash… what a surprise! 🎃🌿

We planted some strawberries, but soon noticed some very different leaves appearing! As the weeks went on, we watched with great excitement as some sort of squash began to grow. 🧐🌱

When it was finally time to harvest it, the children decided to re-enact The Enormous Turnip, with everyone wanting to help Miss Kendall pull it out!

We then cut into our mystery squash and investigated to find out what it was. With a little help from Google Images, we discovered that it belonged to the Cucurbitaceae family – the same family as pumpkins and courgettes. We think it may have been a summer squash! 🎃🥒

To finish off our investigation, the children put their squash to good use by making some yummy squash and cheese muffins to take home!

What an amazing journey from planting to harvesting, investigating and cooking – full of curiosity, teamwork and delicious learning! 💚

Ahoy, mateys! 🏴‍☠️

We’ve had a fantastic Pirate Week filled with adventure. We went on a treasure hunt, found gold coins, and even had to walk the plank!☠️✨

Over the past few days, we've said many emotional goodbyes to our wonderful children and families. 💛

We as the Kindergarten team always find the first and last days the hardest.

On the very first day, we're getting to know each child and their family, building relationships and earning their trust. We know how big that step is for parents—placing their greatest treasure into our care and trusting us to help their little one grow, learn and thrive.

Then, before we know it, the last day arrives. We watch as confident, happy, independent children spread their wings, ready for the next stage of their journey. Seeing how far they have come is incredibly rewarding, but it's also emotional as we let them go, knowing we've played a small part in shaping their early years.

For families, those last days can be just as difficult. Over the years, we've become part of each other's daily lives, celebrating milestones, wiping away tears, sharing laughter and making memories together. It's never just goodbye to the Kindergarten—it's goodbye to people who have become part of their extended family.

These two photos perfectly capture what our job is all about.

📸 The first shows a child on their very first day with us and then again on their very last day—a beautiful reminder of just how much can change in those precious early years.

📸 The second is especially close to our hearts. We've had the privilege of being part of this family's journey for an incredible 14 years, welcoming their eldest child through our doors and then each sibling after them. To have been trusted to support every one of their children as they began their early years journey has been an absolute pleasure and a true honour.

To every family who has trusted us over the years—thank you. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your story, for choosing us, and for sharing your incredible children with us.

We wish all of our school leavers the very best as they begin their next adventure. Once part of our Kindergarten family, always part of our Kindergarten family. ❤️

🎓 And that’s a wrap on Graduation 2026! 💛

Another great year with the same amazing team, creating unforgettable memories through play, exploration, and the joy of learning together—the heart of our Froebelian approach.

A heartfelt thank you to all of our wonderful parents for your continued support and for entrusting us with your precious children. It has been an honour to be part of their early years journey and to create so many treasured memories together watching them grow into confident, curious learners.

To our graduates… shine bright, dream big, and never stop believing in yourselves. 🌟✨

From cuddly cats and delightful dogs to terrific tortoises and super snails, this week at Kindergarten has been all about pets! 🐈‍⬛🐕🐢🐌Every day we have been visited by a different creature companion and have learned a lot along the way about the amazing animals around us- a big thank you to all of the animals (and their owners!) that have helped to make this a Pet Week to remember! 🐾🥰

This week at Little Delwood Kindergarten we have been inspired by the story of ‘A Great Day at the Beach’, written and illustrated by .illustration!

We’ve had a whole week of beach-themed fun, including exploring rockpools, painting salt dough sea creature ornaments, and even catching fish in the nearby river! 🎣

What a scorcher this week has been!! ☀ At Little Delwood Kindergarten we have been beating the heat and keeping the children cool with visits from the ice cream van, fun on our waterslide all week long, and even a visit to Waffles and Cream in Chandlers Ford! 🍦

Keeping the children and team safe during these high temperatures has been our top priority, and doing so while still providing fun and memorable experiences and activities has been a delight! 😄

💙🥐 Father's Day Breakfast Bags 🥐💙

This week, we prepared special Father's Day breakfast bags for all the wonderful male figures in our children's lives.

From dads and grandads to stepdads, uncles and other special role models, it was our way of saying thank you for all the love, support and encouragement they give every day.

The breakfast bags were a huge hit, and we loved hearing how much they were enjoyed! 😊

Happy Father's Day to all the amazing men who make such a positive difference in our children's lives. 💙
