🌷 Can you help us make Knightwood bloom next spring? 🌷

When you’re doing your spring bulb shopping, we’d love it if you could pop an extra packet into your basket for us! 💙💛

We’re looking for donations of spring bulbs to plant around our school grounds, especially:

🌼 Daffodils
💜 Grape hyacinths (Muscari)
🌱 Or other spring-flowering bulbs

Even one packet would make a difference. Our children will help to plant them this autumn, ready to bring a wonderful splash of colour to Knightwood in the spring. 🌷🌼

Donations can be dropped off at the school office.

Thank you, as always, for helping us make our school grounds a lovely place for our children. 💙💛

Our six strands focus this half term is boundaries.

Why is this important? Children who experience consistent boundaries develop stronger self-regulation skills and a clearer sense of right and wrong.

Getting ready to come back to school 💙💛

The start of a new school year can bring excitement, nerves – and sometimes a little bit of both! The Department for Education has shared some simple ideas to help children make the transition back into school routines.

Over the next few days, you might try:

- gradually returning to school bedtimes and wake-up times
- talking about things your child is looking forward to
- keeping conversations about school factual and listening to any worries
- getting bags, clothes and routines ready in advance
- keeping that first goodbye warm, brief and predictable
allowing a little time to unwind after a busy school day

There is no need to do everything perfectly. Small, familiar routines can help children feel secure, confident and ready for the year ahead.

If your child is worried about returning to school, please talk to us – we are here to help.

Remember we have also sent one page profiles home for each teacher - you may find it helpful to revisit it.
