Last week we headed over to forest school to find some characters from our book of the week - Superworm. We then searched around forest school to find insects that matched the ones in the book. We found snails, ants, beetles but unfortunately no worms this time. 🐛🐜🪱🪲

After all the dry weather we weren’t worried about a little rain ☔️ at the start of this week - in fact we loved it! 🥰 Pre School had a fabulous time going through the puddles in their wellies, looking for the shapes made from the rain drops. The children could hear the splash 💦 splash sound as they walked through the puddles.

Its time for a with just a snapshot of out summer fun. We have been busy exploring the wonderful world of books 📚- Dear Zoo being a particular favourite with our younger children. We went for a walk to our local church ⛪️ and talked about the beautiful stained glass windows 🌈 We also freed animals from 🧊 prisons using tools ⚒️ , created masks for 🐘 and enjoyed some spelling games!

Its been a busy summer so far here at Footsteps! We thought we would a little of what we have been up to. Its been wonderful to share in lots of colourful creations 🎨, cooking up a storm in the kitchen 🍕 trips out to buy new books 📕 from the charity shops, fruit 🍌 from the supermarket and visits to the library too! We have also been loving messy play - making cloud dough and ice 🧊 paintings as well as lots of opportunities to play on the pitch ⚽️ ride vehicles and have fun with our friends!
