Deputy Head Girl. Medical Society member. Violinist. Future doctor. And now… off to Leeds! 🎓

Milly achieved a brilliant A*AA in English Literature, History and Biology and is heading to the University of Leeds to study Medicine, taking the next step towards her ambition of becoming a doctor.

Alongside her studies, Milly has played an important part in school life as one of our Deputy Head Girls and a key member of our Medical Society, while also pursuing her love of music through playing the violin. 🎻🩺

We love seeing our girls aim high, follow what matters to them and make the most of the opportunities around them.

👋 A fond farewell and a very warm QAS welcome!

As we get ready for a new term, we’re saying fond farewell to our Bursar, Rebecca Patton, who leaves Queen Anne’s after four years to begin a new adventure with her family in Belfast. Huge thanks to her for her contribution over recent years! We wish Rebecca and her family every happiness as they start their next chapter.

At the same time, we’re delighted to welcome our new Bursar, Andy Price, to Queen Anne’s.

And if you’re wondering whether Andy is competitive… the answer is probably yes! Andy represented Great Britain in Modern Pentathlon in the 1990s and, after being challenged by his teenage children to compete again, went on to win a bronze medal at the 2012 Masters World Championships.

So, goodbye and good luck Rebecca, welcome to QAS Andy, and here’s to exciting new beginnings all round.

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone next week as the girls return and a new term begins!

🚨 New girl alert… meet Colin. Yes, Colin. And yes, she’s our newest Queen Anne's girl.

At just three months old, Colin the Labradoodle is preparing for her first term and, frankly, her diary is already busier than ours.

Today’s schedule:
🐶 Trip to the groomers
💤 Mid-morning nap
🐾 First ever play date
✨ General preparation for becoming one of the most popular girls in school

From next week, you’ll find Colin with her mum, Mrs Goodall, in the Performing Arts Faculty, where she’ll be on hand to welcome the girls back for the start of term.

A Level Results 2026 | Eleanor 🎻💙

Senior Prefect. Outstanding cellist. Dedicated musician. And now… off to Oxford! 🎓

Eleanor achieved a fantastic A*A*A in English Literature, Music and Mathematics and is heading to the University of Oxford to study Music.

Music has been a huge part of Eleanor’s QAS journey. In Lower Sixth, she achieved a Distinction in her LRSM Cello Diploma, alongside attending Junior Guildhall every Saturday. At school, she has been an active member of Consort Choir, Sinfonia and the Senior String Quartet, as well as directing our Junior String Quartet. 🎻🎶

We love seeing our girls follow what they’re passionate about, challenge themselves and make the most of every opportunity – in the classroom, on the stage and beyond.

A pretty special QAS chapter, Eleanor. We can’t wait to see where the next one takes you! 💙

A huge shout-out to our brilliant teachers, our supportive parents and, most importantly, our incredible girls ❤️

Yesterday’s GCSE results raised an important question about what is happening to girls in education. Girls still outperform boys nationally. But look a little closer and the picture is more concerning. Girls’ attainment has fallen since before Covid, and this year their results slipped again in several key measures while boys continued to close the gap.

At Queen Anne’s, we’re bucking that trend.

And this isn’t just about one exceptional results day. Over the last three years, our GCSE results have remained consistently above pre-Covid levels, while our A-level results have continued to improve year on year.

This year, 29% of GCSE grades were Grade 9, 47% were Grades 9–8 and 68% were Grades 9–7.

Proof that when girls are given an environment designed around them, where she starts really is only the beginning.

Bucking the trend. Backing girls.

Head Girl. Senior Lacrosse Co-Captain. National Champion. And now… off to Durham! 🎓

Mary achieved a brilliant A*AA in Physical Education, Business and Psychology and is heading to Durham University to study Business and Management with a Placement Year.

From leading her school to leading on the lacrosse pitch, Mary has made the most of every opportunity at QAS - including being part of our U19 National Schools Lacrosse Championship-winning team in 2025 🏆

We love seeing our girls aim high, take the lead and back themselves - in the classroom, on the pitch and wherever they’re heading next.

In the words of our Deputy Head, Mr Stephenson, “we’re still buzzing!” ✨

And we really are.

After celebrating our record-breaking A Level results, we still haven’t stopped smiling. With 23% of all grades at A* and 48% at A–A*, it was an extraordinary year for our Sixth Form.

Behind those results are girls who have been encouraged to aim high, grow in confidence and discover just how much they are capable of.
