Today’s 5K, 10K and Mini Oak runners were incredible, and seeing so many families together enjoying the Summer Fayre was just brilliant 🥰
A huge shout‑out to the EG10K committee, who have worked unbelievably hard to make these events possible - you truly wouldn’t believe the level of planning that goes into this. And to the wonderful humans who volunteered to marshal the course and run stalls, including so many of our school staff who have already had quite the week 🥵
Thank you to everyone who came along, donated cakes, prizes and supplies, and helped make the stalls run so smoothly.
You made today what it was - a proper Emmer Green day to remember 💙

🏃 All event details have been sent via email, and there are a limited number of 5K & 10K entries on the day. NB Mini Oak has SOLD OUT. Only registered runners can take part for safety reasons.
🎂 Don't forget your water bottle, hat and sunscreen, plus any cakes you'd like to donate!
Everything is coming together for tomorrow - the course looks brilliant and the team has been working hard.
💦🧴🧢 Quick reminder to pack the sensible bits: water bottles, suncream, hats and maybe even an umbrella if we get a light shower (I’ll be celebrating if we do). ☔

We usually have a brilliant selection for the refreshments stall, but we’ve only had a few come in so far (maybe it's just been too hot 🫠).

🥵🔥🫠 After a week of the Great British Melt, Sunday is finally looking cooler… possibly even with a bit of rain, because the weather has clearly decided to troll us for sport. Whatever it throws at us, we’ll be in it together 💪
⚽ With the England match on late Saturday night, many of you will be arriving powered by coffee, hope and the sheer force of parental obligation.
💧 Pre‑hydration is your best friend - give Future You a fighting chance, whether you’re running, cheering or stopping your child from turning their race number into a temporary tattoo.
