We’ve been sitting on this one for months. Our first ever international retreat is happening, 1st to 4th October.

A villa in the Spanish mountains. Four days with a group of women just like us.

Movement in the sunshine. Space to wander off and explore, or to sit still if that’s what you actually need.

Long meals enjoying the most incredible Mediterranean food cooked for you, the kind that fuels the body and does something for the soul at the same time.

Our half-day retreats taught us something. You don’t just want a break. You want this kind of break.

So we made it happen.

Every space has already gone.
We cannot wait for this one.

Introducing: Strong Girls Movement 💪🏼

A movement for girls who are learning that being strong is something to be proud of.

Strong Girls Movement is our new initiative created to help girls build strength, confidence and capability, while learning how to train, fuel and look after their bodies.

Because we don’t want the next generation of girls growing up believing they need to be smaller.

We want them to grow up knowing they can be stronger.

Strong enough to lift.
Strong enough to try.
Strong enough to fail and try again.
Strong enough to take up space.
Strong enough to know what their bodies are capable of.

We launched in May and our sessions have been full ever since — and this is just the beginning.

This is more than training.
This is a movement.

A movement of girls becoming strong, capable young women. 🖤

Welcome to Strong Girls Movement.

IT’S BACK! 🏆

The SWC Games are back on Saturday 19th September, and we honestly can’t wait!

This is our third year, and it’s become one of our favourite days of the year.

If you’re new to Strong Womens Club, imagine team challenges like tyre flips, a tractor pull, tug-of-war and a hay bale race... lots of laughter, plenty of encouragement and women cheering each other on every step of the way.
And before you think... “I couldn’t do that.” 💛

You absolutely can.

The SWC Games aren’t about being the strongest or the fastest. Every challenge is designed around teamwork, with women of all ages and abilities taking part. No one is left behind, and no one finishes alone. In fact, the biggest cheers of the day are usually for the last person to cross the finish line.

That’s what Strong Womens Club is all about.

So if you’ve been thinking about joining but worried you won’t be “good enough”, let this be your reminder... you don’t need to be.
You just need to be willing to give it a go, and we’ll be cheering you on from the very beginning.

Members... get the date in your diary! 💪

Let’s join the dots on bone health.

Bone health comes at you from every direction at once, doesn’t it. A podcast says it’s all about calcium. An advert reckons it’s collagen. Your GP says be careful with heavy weights, maybe try something a bit gentler. And you’re left holding four half-answers and no real idea what any of it means for a Tuesday evening.

So we’re not going to add to that pile. We just want to join the dots.
Here’s the bit nobody explains properly: your bones are living tissue. They’re being broken down and rebuilt constantly, and they work out how much to rebuild based on what you ask of them. Load a bone and it gets the message that it needs to be stronger than this.

Leave it alone and it quietly makes do with less.
Estrogen was doing a lot of that protecting for you in the background. When levels shift, the rebuilding side slows down. Nothing you did caused that, and it isn’t the end of the story either, because bone still responds to being loaded. It just needs a clearer signal now than it used to.

Calcium and vitamin D are the raw materials, and protein is what your body actually builds with. But materials only get used if something’s asking for them. That’s the job the strength training is doing.

In here, it looks far less dramatic than you’d imagine. It’s a squat that was 20kg in March and is 32.5 now.

It’s your logbook telling you it’s working on the weeks your head is telling you it isn’t.

Something practical to take away:
Keep adding a little over time. Same weights forever means the same signal forever.
Get protein into every meal rather than saving it all for dinner.
Vitamin D through the darker months (10 micrograms a day, NHS guidance).

And if osteoporosis runs in your family, that’s a conversation worth having with your GP. Tell us too, so we can build it into your programming.

None of this is about becoming a powerlifter. It’s about feeling good in the body you’re in this week, and still doing the things you love in thirty years’ time. Same training, both jobs.

Something brilliant is happening in our space.

Women who never thought of themselves as “strong” are lifting, pushing, showing up, and feeling it everywhere else in their lives too.

More energy. A brighter mood. A quiet confidence that wasn’t there before.

There’s no perfect time to start this. Just the decision to.

Curious what it’s like?
Drop us a direct message, we’re always happy to chat it through, no pressure at all.

We hear it all the time “I didn’t expect to actually like it here.”

Because most people walk through the door thinking this is about getting stronger, or fitter, or finally sticking to something. And sure, that happens. You’ll surprise yourself with what you can lift.
But that’s rarely the bit people talk about months in.

They talk about walking in on a Monday feeling like a shell of themselves and walking out lighter not on the scales, just in general. They talk about the woman two racks over who screamed the place down when they hit a PB. They talk about laughing so hard mid-session they had to put the bar down.
They talk about feeling like themselves again. Sometimes for the first time in years.

None of that shows up in a before-and-after photo. But it’s the thing that keeps you coming back long after the “getting in shape” motivation has worn off.

So if you’ve been telling yourself you’re “not a gym person” maybe you just haven’t found a room that was built for you yet. 🤍

Everyone starts somewhere.

She walked in on day one not knowing a single face. A little nervous. Not sure she belonged.

Now this is the best hour of her week. The people, the training, the feeling of being part of something real.

That first step is the biggest one. We will be right here when you take it.

But on the other side of the room, your coach is thinking something completely different.

When you tell us you’ve got arthritis, we’re not thinking you shouldn’t be here. We’re thinking about how to build strength that protects those joints. When you mention high blood pressure, we’re thinking about your breathing and your pace. When you walk in exhausted, we’re not thinking push harder. We’re thinking about your sleep, your week, and whether today is about the plan or just keeping you moving.

Because sometimes the best session isn’t the hardest one.

This is why we never stop learning. Not for more letters after our names. So we can understand the women in front of us a little better. Women’s health. Back pain. Nutrition. Strength for the long game.

Good coaching isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about asking the right questions, hearing your story, then building a plan around you.

Your body doesn’t work in separate boxes. Neither should your coaching.

“Building something you’re proud of”

We love seeing women feel stronger.
We love seeing them tone up, lose body fat and feel more confident in their own skin.
We love hearing, “My jeans fit again.”
Or, “I actually looked in the mirror this morning and smiled.”

Those things matter.
But what makes us even prouder.....is how they got there.
Not by punishing themselves.
Not by surviving on naff salads.
Not by doing endless hours of cardio.
Not by feeling like they had to become smaller to be happier.

We see it a little differently.
Strength training has never just been about lifting weights.

It’s about building.
Building muscle that supports you as you get older.
Building confidence in your body again.
Building healthy habits that fit around real life.
Building resilience when life gets tough.
Building a body that carries you through menopause, busy jobs, raising children, travelling, retirement... whatever life has in store.

The changes you see in the mirror?
They’re important.

We’re proud of those too.
But they’re often the reflection of everything else that’s changed underneath.
The confidence.
The energy.
The strength.
The mindset.

The belief that you’re capable of more than you thought.
We’re proud of the results our members achieve.
But we’re just as proud of the way they achieve them.
Because we’re not just helping women change how they look.

We’re helping them build something they’re proud of.
And that’s a result that lasts.

Here is what happens every time you train.

Your muscles get stronger. Your bones get denser. And something clicks on the inside too.

You stand a little taller. You trust your body a little more. You leave feeling good.

Strength is built from the inside out, one session at a time.
