Evocative and emotive - expressed excellently via an eclectic choice of colour... just so brave and beautiful! πππ€ππΌ

Boxed in behind a 4ft x 2ft board, working away on a greyer-than-grey day π« when I looked under and beyond my board to see my beautiful teenager - completely engrossed and creating this beauty... so inspired and very impressed!!

{be still}
Got sent this earlier today just when things were feeling a bit difficult.
Painted by Elodie (Age 9)
Blown away by the colours used and just how much serenity it radiates. Went hunting for something which might help us all and especially now...

Beautiful blue-skied monday to you all! ππ
Loving the smudgy clouds βοΈβοΈ and the colour gradient to give the mountains β° a sense of perspective. Oooh, and the dry brushing that represents foliage. Very well done Elodie ππΌππΌ

If youβre out and about in Caterham, please look up πwhen you get to Costa and Clarks at The Church Walk Shopping Centre.
Hope the colourful sea life ππ π‘π will bring you some cheer on this utterly gloomy Sunday.
Made from household plastic waste by children and some adults in the community to remind everyone of what plastic is doing to our planet.
Our CHILDREN (certainly) NEED A FUTURE.
This project has expanded and contracted several times over the last few weeks with impending COVID restrictions but itβs a relief to get the ball rolling and to have part 1 of hopefully many parts of this campaign up and exhibited for public viewing.
The virus has been all consuming but my environmentalist friend and colleague Fiona Hoppe and myself have made a commitment to make this very important awareness project grow and want to take it as far and wide as possible.
It certainly would not have been possible without the heartwarming support we received from you, my street, my town, my community.
Super special thanks to... Joan Tolman for giving us her time and expertise, Eleanor Osman from 101 Craft House for all those excellent fish and endless support β€οΈ, Caterham Valley For You for all their support and pesky paperwork help, Natasha Nicolaou for love and transport β€οΈ, 1st Woldingham Rainbows π for your brilliant beautiful contributions, Caterham Round Table and wonderful Mr. Jenkins from Caterham Rotary. https://www.facebook.com/thewestwaycentre/ for the awesome support and building room, https://m.facebook.com/churchwalkshoppingcentre/ The Church Walk Shopping Centre for of course giving us the all important exhibition space and supporting the cause. https://www.facebook.com/CaterhamIndependent/ our fantastic local paper for supporting the cause and spreading the word.
My past and present students and supporters of The Crafty Cat Art Club and of course... the Caterham super hero himself - Andy Parr ππΌ
Hope the rest of your Sunday is a good one and even with lockdown looming and what the implications of that might be, take care of yourselves and hope you are able to still find joy in the small things.
Wishing you love and light always, P x
