Come and join Alice and her Wonderland friends ❤️🐰 for Little Treasures annual summer fair ☀️

▪️When: Saturday 8th August 2026 1pm-4pm
▪️Where: Little Treasures Nursery, The Old Naafi, Weston Drive, Caterham CR3 5XY

We will have lots of games and prizes for the whole family including hook a duck, beat the goalie, tombola, and a coconut shy as well our amazing raffle with lots of prizes donated by some incredible local businesses ⭐️

Nursery tours will be available from 2pm-3pm upon request ⭐️

Costumes are welcome but not mandatory ❤️

It’s dinosaur week at Little Treasures! 🦖 We have been exploring all things dinosaur in all of our classrooms and linking it in with the NSPCC’s book ‘Pantosaurus And The Power Of Pants’ 🩲to learn about keeping our privates private and the power of the word “No” to help support Child Safety Week. ❤️

We have been digging in the sand for bones, making play-dough fossils, and using our gross motor skills to stomp and move like the dinosaurs did 🦕

In preschool, the children have been extending our learning by having group discussions about the 5 people we trust, the importance of sharing secrets and keeping our privates private 🩲❤️

This week at Little Treasures we’ve been trying to beat the heat 🔥 with lots of cooling water play and summer themed activities ☀️

We have been investigating the sensory scarves in the water, learning the colours and beginning to describe the textures we feel 🌈

We have also explored the ocean animals 🐠 and turned the tuff tray into our own ice cream shop🍦to encourage the use of our fine and gross motor skills through scooping and pouring ⭐️

🌈☀️🌧️ This week, our Rainbows have been busy exploring all things weather!

We’ve been discovering the different elements of weather through sensory play, making marks, and getting wonderfully messy with frozen paint. 🫟🎨

The children have also loved exploring our fluffy shaving foam clouds, using both their fine and gross motor skills to scoop, swirl, and play. ☁️✨

Our tuff tray activities gave everyone the chance to investigate the beautiful colours of the rainbow while listening to the soothing sounds of the rain with our rain makers. 🌈🌧️🎶

A week full of creativity, curiosity, and hands-on learning! 💛

Sunbeams ☀️ have been exploring the topic of mini-beasts this week! 🐞

We have enjoyed looking at all of the different insects we can find in the garden 🌿 and reading stories like ‘The Hungry Caterpillar’ and ‘The Very Quiet Cricket’ to enhance our learning 🐛

Sunbeams has had a makeover! ✨

From fresh paint and brand new furniture to a lighter, nature inspired look, the space now feels brighter, calmer and more welcoming than ever! 🌿

Every detail has been thoughtfully updated to create an environment where children can feel comfortable, inspired and excited to learn and play ⭐️

The room now has an open feel by eliminating closed off drawers and cupboards, allowing the children to freely explore the resources and engage in child-led open ended play ❤️
