Perimenopause can make you feel like you’re carrying a little extra weight some days ….

Not on the scales

In your head

In your body

In your energy

But every time you choose to show up anyway, you’re building a strength that has nothing to do with what you lift in the gym.

What’s one thing you’ve done for yourself this week that you’re proud of?

Anyone else need a Britany affirmation today?

Heading to the gym now! Thanks Britany!

30 years since Dawn last wore a bikini.
Just pause on that for a second.

30 years.

Now look at her.

When Dawn joined Eat Live Move six months ago, she told me that she didn’t recognise her own body anymore, and it made her desperately unhappy.

As a post-menopausal woman, she’d watched her body change and felt frustrated by what she saw in the mirror.

That’s one of the reasons she chose to work with me.

She wanted someone who understood what being a menopausal woman actually feels like. Someone who could help her lose weight, get fitter and feel more comfortable in her own skin, in a way that fitted around real life.

Just simple habits.

Consistency.

Support.

A plan built around her.

The weight loss and change in her body have been incredible.

But if you ask me, the biggest transformation isn’t what you can see in these photos.

It’s the confidence.

It’s standing in a bikini at a photoshoot with after 30 years and feeling proud of yourself.

In fact, it was quite an emotional moment.

It’s recognising the woman looking back at you in the mirror again.

And that’s exactly why I’m so proud of her ❤️

If you’re reading this and you’ve been feeling frustrated by the changes menopause has brought, or like you’ve slowly lost confidence in the woman staring back at you in the mirror...

You don’t have to figure it all out on your own.

My coaching spaces are now open.

Send me a message with the word CONFIDENCE and let’s have a chat about where you’re at and where you’d like to be.

One thing I’ve learned in my 40s…. You don’t have to have it all figured out before you start.

I speak to so many women who are waiting.

Waiting until work calms down.

Waiting until life feels less chaotic.

Waiting until Monday.

Waiting until they feel motivated.

The problem is, life rarely gets quieter.

There will always be another school run, another load of washing, another email, another deadline, another thing demanding your attention.

The women I see making the biggest changes aren’t the ones with the most time.

They’re the ones who stop waiting for the perfect moment and start where they are.

A 10-minute walk.

A protein-focused breakfast.

Going to bed a little earlier.

Drinking more water.

Small things done consistently.

Because confidence doesn’t come from getting everything right.

It comes from proving to yourself that you can keep showing up.

What’s one small thing you’re doing for yourself next week? Drop it below …

At this point, I spend more time looking for things than actually using them.

Phone? Lost.

Car keys? Lost.

Glasses? Usually on my head.

The reason I walked into the room? Absolutely no idea.

And don’t even get me started on whether I’ve already applied my oestrogen gel, taken my vitamins, replied to that message or just thought about replying to it... 🤦‍♀️

All jokes aside, if you’re finding yourself more forgetful, struggling to concentrate or feeling like your brain has 47 tabs open at once, you’re not losing your mind.

Brain fog, forgetfulness and feeling mentally overloaded are incredibly common during perimenopause and menopause.

No, you’re not going mad.
And definitely No, you’re not the only one.

Now tell me...

What’s the most menopausal thing you’ve done recently? 👇😂
