Raya is celebrating after securing his place at Oriel College, Oxford, where he will study Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE). He is one of 11 Caterham pupils accepted to Oxford or Cambridge this year.
After the nerves of the morning disappeared, Raya was delighted to receive the news. He said: “I’m really excited to get started and meet my new professors.”
Looking back on his time at Caterham, Raya says he will miss the teachers, who have all been “so amazing and approachable”. He added: “It’s meant a lot to be here, the friends I’ve made and the experiences I’ve had. It’s a great school, I wouldn’t choose anywhere else.”
His advice to other pupils is simple: “Follow your dreams and don’t be scared.”

From Physics, to Law, to Medicine and Fashion, our pupils are supported and encourage to pursue their passion. That drive and hard work is plain to see from just some of the amazing stats from A Level results this year. We don't doubt that the Class of 2026 will stay on that aspirational path and continue to excellent on their journey.

Alex is celebrating after achieving straight A*s across all his subjects, securing his place at the University of Manchester to study Physics.
He said: “I can’t wait to get stuck into university life, explore a new city, meet new people and just set off on a new adventure.”
Reflecting on his time at Caterham, which he joined from , Alex added: “I will certainly miss some of my teachers. My time here has been invaluable and we’ve had so many opportunities.”
His advice to younger pupils is simple: “Take every opportunity you can. You’ll never regret the skills you learn along the way. It’s what makes you an interesting person.”

Delighted with his A Level results, Charlie is off to the Oxford School of Drama in September and he’s ready to be challenged and to develop as an actor.
Having joined Caterham Prep School at just three years old, Charlie has been part of the Caterham community ever since and says it feels like family, having grown up here. He reflects fondly on his time, adding: “I will miss my teachers and their ongoing support throughout my journey, and I am especially grateful for all their support in sixth form with my decision to pursue my passion.”
It will be a busy autumn for Charlie, as he was accepted into the highly competitive National Youth Theatre and will also be attending membership courses.
His advice for younger pupils? “Don’t settle for what you think is safe. You only live once, so make the most of it.”

Maya P, Co-Chair of Caterham School's Wright Society, is heading to UCL to study Medicine after achieving an incredible results.
For Maya, these results mean she can take the next step towards her dream of becoming a doctor, something she has worked incredibly hard towards. She said: “I’m so excited for the whole university experience and that I get to study medicine. I’ve wanted this for so long and I’m so pleased it is all coming true.”
Maya has also played an important role as Co-Chair of the Wright Society, Caterham's society for pupils aspiring to pursue a career in medicine.
“The guidance and support we were given as part of the Wright Society was invaluable. It was also great being able to inspire younger members.”
As Maya gets ready to start this exciting new chapter, she is also reflecting on her time at Caterham.
“There are just so many things you can do and so many opportunities waiting for you. I’m going to miss everything about Caterham School, especially all my friends.”
Maya is a testament to her own advice for future pupils: “If you work hard and focus, you can get where you want to go.”

Head of School Mathilde was thrilled to achieve a remarkable 4 A* grades, securing herself a place to study Physics at the prestigious Imperial College London.
Having moved up from Oakhyrst Grange School Mathilde was a truly integrated member of the Caterham community. Alongside her academic achievements, she was also a remarkable violinist, bringing her talents to school life beyond the classroom.
Reflecting on her time at Caterham, Mathilde said: “Caterham has been amazing and has really prepared us for the future. It has genuinely shaped me into the person I am today. I’ve grown so much here and I’m ready and excited to take the next step up.”
She added: “I will miss the kindness, support and encouragement I have received here at Caterham.”

A fantastic first outing at the World Robotics Olympiad (WRO) for our 12 Caterham pupils last term. Competing in the Robomission category, all junior teams finished in the top half, while our senior teams secured an impressive second and third place. Congratulations to everyone involved!
