The second London lunch for the Over 60s took place on Thursday 20 April. Guests met in the bar of The Antelope, Sloane Square for a drink before heading upstairs to the private dining area. The room had been decorated with plenty of archives and Old Caterhamians’ merchandise to make the Old Cats feel at home. After the old School Latin Grace was led by Revd Martin Stevens (OC 1945-1954), the 30 OCs sat down for a sumptuous two-course meal after which the old School Song ‘Debtors’ was sung. As the oldest in the room, at nearly 90 (but not looking a day over 60!), Mr Geoffrey Pidgeon (OC 1936-1940) stood up and told the audience a few anecdotes from his time at Caterham and beyond which had everyone in fits of laughter with his great sense of humour. Many stayed well after the event and enjoyed a pint (or two!) in the homely surroundings of the 17th Century pub in the heart of Belgravia.

A message from Mr Ceri Jones, Headmaster
Dear OCs
I would like to warmly invite you to the next Cambridge Reunion hosted at my former College, Fitzwilliam, Cambridge. This event is open to OCs who live in the surrounding areas and students, past and present, at Oxford or Cambridge. The event will take place on Thursday 15 June with welcome drinks, kindly sponsored by the Old Caterhamians’ Association, from 7.30pm followed by a three course meal in the beautiful surroundings of the College which boasts award winning buildings, dating back to the 1960s and a state of the art auditorium. As those of you who usually attend OC reunions will know, these events are a wonderful opportunity to catch up with news from Caterham School, members of staff, and with each other. We expect that this event will be very well attended, so do please ensure that you reply early in order not to be disappointed.
Please click the link below. I look forward to seeing many of you on Thursday 15 June. Spouses, partners and guests most welcome.
Kind regards
Ceri Jones
