Step 1 - Birth to 5 Months

Those early weeks and months with a new baby can be wonderful, exhausting, overwhelming and everything in between.

That's why I love welcoming new families onto our Step 1 course.

Of course, Step 1 is a fantastic opportunity to bond with your baby, but it's also a chance to meet other local mums, build confidence and enjoy dedicated time together each week.

Over the 5 weeks we will explore:

Baby Massage

Baby Yoga

Paediatric First Aid

Baby Graduation

Alongside sensory play, tummy time techniques and relaxation activities designed to support both you and your baby.

Every family also receives a LullaBaby tote bag containing:

Step 1 course guide

Sensory toy

This next course will run throughout the summer holidays, giving you and your baby a regular weekly activity throughout the summer.

IllumiBaby is a unique sensory experience designed especially for babies from birth to 12 months, combining lights, colours, music and sensory play in a calm and engaging environment.

All sessions take place at The Arc, Caterham

You will also be able to book these sessions individually for £9 per session, but the Summer Pass is the best value way to enjoy all three magical summer adventures.

One of my favourite things about my job ❤️

I love watching little ones grow and develop. It's one of the biggest privileges of what I do 🥹

Seeing a tiny newborn become a confident, curious little explorer never gets old.

But what I love just as much is getting to know the families behind the babies.

I love hearing about your week, celebrating the good days with you and being a listening ear on the tougher ones.

I love watching your confidence grow alongside your little one's.

And I absolutely love seeing the friendships and connections that form between mums.

Nothing makes my heart happier than overhearing you in class organising to meet up outside of class (sorry mums, I promise I dont listen too much 😂), organising coffee dates, walks and even nights out together.

In fact, today I was told that 10 mums from one of my groups recently got together for a girls' night out!

If I can create a space where you feel supported, make happy memories with your little one and leave feeling a little less alone than when you arrived, then I've done my job 😊

When I started LullaBaby, I wanted to create more than just a baby class.

I wanted to create a community ❤️

When it comes to Step 1, I hear the same worries every single time.

My baby is too young.
My baby is too old.
My baby will cry.
My baby will just sleep.
I won't know anyone.

The truth?

Most of the worries I hear from new mums are completely normal.

Every baby is different.

Some cry.
Some sleep.
Some feed.
Some need cuddles.
Some are just a few weeks old.
Some are almost ready for the next stage.

And that's exactly how it should be.

Step 1 is designed to support both you and your baby during those early months. It's a chance to learn baby massage, baby yoga, sensory play and paediatric first aid, whilst spending time with other local mums who are navigating the same stage of motherhood as you.

You don't need to have it all figured out before you come along.

My next Step 1 courses start in July and I'd love to welcome you and your little one.

🌟 What's On This Week at LullaBaby 🌟

Week 2 of our Summer Term is here and I can't wait to welcome everyone back for another week of fun, friendship and memory-making.

This week our Step 2 & 3 babies and toddlers will be heading on an adventure DOWN IN THE JUNGLE! 🐒

We'll be exploring the sights and sounds of the jungle through sensory play, music, movement and plenty of LullaBaby fun

💆‍♀️ Our Step 1 babies will be starting baby massage this week. Following our paediatric first aid session last week, we'll be focusing on legs and tummy massage techniques whilst also taking the opportunity to get to know one another a little better.

A year ago these two were some of the tiniest babies in my classes 💕

Now look at them 😭

One of the greatest privileges of my job is watching little ones grow from babies into confident toddlers, all while their personalities begin to shine through.

I've watched these two go from lying on their backs during sensory play to confidently exploring, dressing up and making everyone around them smile.

And what makes it even more special is that it's not just the little ones who grow. Over the months, friendships form, confidence grows and many of my families become a huge part of the LullaBaby community.

Moments like this are such a lovely reminder of why I love what I do ❤️

☀️ What's On This Week ☀️

And I'm back! 🙌

The Summer Term kicks off tomorrow and I am so excited to welcome everyone back to LullaBaby.

Step 2 & Step 3 will be celebrating Summer this week as we see if we can tempt the sunshine and warmer weather back (but not too much! 😆).

Expect all the usual fun with sensory play, music & rhyme, movement, baby yoga, Makaton and plenty of opportunities for your little one to learn through play.

I'll also be welcoming a brand new cohort of Step 1 babies this week. We're doing things a little differently this term and diving straight into our Paediatric First Aid session. My aim is always to give parents confidence in those all-important life-saving skills from the very beginning of the course.
