Tá muid chomh bródúil as na páistí ónár gCiorcal Amhránaíochta a bhí páirteach sa cheolchoirm Ebb and Flow aréir ag Halla Uladh mar chuid de Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann. Thug siad tacaíocht do thuismitheoir agus cara na scoile, Gráinne Holland, lena hamhrán gleoite 'Oró an Fharraige' ar an ardán le Ceolfhoireann Uladh, beo ar BBC Raidió Uladh. Bhí na páistí ar fheabhas ar fad, chan siad go gleoite agus lonraigh siad ar an ardán mór mar ambasadóirí iontacha dár scoil.
Gabhaimid buíochas mór ó chroí leis na páistí as a gcuid ama a thabhairt suas le linn saoire an tsamhraidh chun páirt a ghlacadh sa cheolchoirm seo, ní amháin ar an oíche féin ach don chleachtadh fosta. Agus leis na tuismitheoirí ar fad a bhí ag tacú le síobanna agus a tháinig aréir le hamharc ar na páistí. Gabhaimid buíochas leis na daoine deasa ón BBC agus ó Halla Uladh as a gcuid oibre ag eagrú seo ar fad, agus as an aire mhaith a thug siad dúinn aréir. Gabhaimid buíochas le Caoimhe as an obair a rinne sí leis na páistí chun iad a ullmhú don choirm, agus le Máire agus Dearbháil a tháinig chun cuidiú le gach rud a stiúradh ar an oíche. Buíochas mór fosta le Gráinne ar ndóigh as an deis iontach seo a thabhairt dúinne agus dár bpáistí, eispéireas dochreidte iontach a bhí ann agus tá cuimhní cinn déanta ag na páistí sin aréir a fhanfaidh leo fad a saoil.
Maith sibh a pháistí, go raibh maith agaibh as an dúthracht a léirigh sibh don imeacht seo ar son bhur scoile. Táimid chomh bródúil asaibh agus tá súil againn gur bhain sibh sult as gach nóiméad de. Is ceart sibh.
We are so proud of the children from our Ciorcal Amhránaíochta who took part in the Ebb and Flow concert last night at Ulster Hall as part of Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann. They supported parent and friend of the school, Gráinne Holland, with her beautiful song 'Oró an Fharraige' on stage with the Ulster Orchestra, live on BBC Radio Ulster. The children were absolutely brilliant, they sang beautifully and they really shone on the big stage as great ambassadors for our school.
We would like to thank the children for giving up their time during the summer holidays to take part in this concert, not only on the night itself but also for the rehearsals. And to all the parents who were supporting the children with arranging lifts, and who came last night to watch the children. We would like to thank the lovely people from the BBC and the Ulster Hall for their work in organising all of this, and for the great care they gave us last night. We would like to thank Caoimhe for the work she did with the children to prepare them for the concert, and to Máire and Dearbháil who came to help direct everything on the night. A big thank you also to Gráinne of course for giving us and our children this wonderful opportunity, it was an incredible experience and the children have made memories last night that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
Well done children, thank you for the dedication you showed for this event on behalf of your school. We are so proud of you and we hope you enjoyed every minute of it.
