A great experience for all our Electrical Installation and Plumbing students as the Aico roadshow came to Castleford College on Wednesday!

All students were given an insight to systems installed within properties to monitor and support the safety of the occupants; Aico supplied demonstration panels and our level 3 Electrical Installation students will follow on with this study when they visit the Oswestry Head Offices.

Following the success of our students last year in the CIOB student challenge, Wakefield College students were invited to participate in the Sheffield Student Challenge.

Yet again, “the judges were impressed by the calibre of students again from Wakefield College … and were particularly impressed with the team The Ladies and Three Hinderances who just narrowly missed out on highly recommended,” said Kirsty Barker CIOB Member Services & Events Co-ordinator.

Yesterday, Duncan from Sewell Construction spent the day in our Construction department at Castleford Campus talking to our students about Sewell Construction, working and training in the Construction industry and the many roles available. This sort of insight into the industry is an invaluable, inspirational experience for our students.
