Last week we enjoyed a trip to Cannon Hall Museum, Park and Gardens where we became fairies, found monsters, dressed up in some wonderful costumes and enjoyed the play area. We visited The Deep and looked at the differences between the sharks, decided which fish was our favourites, watched the penguins swim and felt the ice cold wall. We went to Weston Park Museum and saw the wonderful lions, explored all the different ages and really enjoyed the Egyptian era. On the way home we called in at the soft play area in the services and on Friday we went out with some of the children who I used to look after and visited Standedge Tunnel and Visitor Centre and enjoyed discovering inside the longest, deepest and highest tunnel in Britain we also really enjoyed the nature trail and outdoor games and the walk alongside the canal

What a busy week we have had this week with our friends Ducklings Daycare and Great Preston Childminding. We visited one of our favourites Wentworth Family Farm where we fed highland cows, goats, sheep and a llama. We made noises like peacocks and saw the tortoises enjoying their lunch. We got to watch a Punch and Judy show which managed to scare the noisy turkeys next to us and then we played in the huge pirate ship playground in the sand and water. We visited Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal, National Trust and took part in their summer of fun, where we rode bikes, had space hopper races, puppet shows, played dominoes and croquet and had a great time exploring. We visited a new place that we will definitely go back to called Walkers Nurseries where we enjoyed looking at the wooden sculptures, playing in the play area, sampling some lovely food in their restaurant, seeing lots of koi carp and enjoying the huge gardens where saw trees that looked like dinosaurs, dragonflys flying around lily pads and lots of places to run. We ended our week saying goodbye to one of our long term mindees who we will miss so much but we had a great time saying goodbye with a trip to the seaside where we played football on the beach, paddled, splashed, found crabs in rock pools, dug holes in the sand, built a huge sand castle and enjoyed fish and chips on the beach. We love the summer holidays always lots of adventures and things to see and do🐄🐐🦙🐑🎭🐢🚲🏁🐟🍰🦖🦕🪷🌊🏖️⚽️

Last week we enjoyed lots of crafts, we made our own prints anddid lots of bead threading to make our own bracelets. We took a trip to the local garden centre on the bus and bought plants to put in our plant pots that we painted. We helped some dinosaurs escape from the ice and did sensory play with acorns, pinecones, beans and rope. We ended the week with a trip to Wentworth Family Farm where we saw bugs that looked like giant leaves, fed highland cows, goats, sheep and a very hungry llama and we played in the giant sand play area

The last few weeks before the summer holidays have been full of fun with our friends at Ducklings Daycare and Great Preston Childminding. We have had to deal with some really hot days so have had lots of water play and on the days it was cooler we have been on some trips out. We enjoyed walking with the cows in the fields at Nostell NT and then playing in the woods on the obstacle course. We have been to the new mini roads bike track at temple newsam golf course and rode out bikes and scooters. We went to Boston spa park and played football on the field. We went to support our friends in a race for Sophie and cheered them on along the way. And we enjoyed a last day at play group before the holidays by having a party at monkey maze . We can’t wait to go on more adventures in the summer holidays and see what we discover

We had a brilliant week last week with our friends at Ducklings Daycare and Great Preston Childminding We got to try out the new bike tracks at Temple Newsam Estate where we practised when to stop and when to go and it has a great sand play area where we spent time scooping, pouring, digging and sprinkling sand. We went to Nostell NT and enjoyed playing on the obstacle course in the woods, mooing like the cows do, watching the ducks waddle around and seeing if we could waddle like them. We also loved going to playgroup and even made some tie dye T-shirts too

We’ve really enjoyed our last two weeks of lovely weather with our friends from Ducklings Daycare and Great Preston Childminding and we visited lots of places. We loved National Coal Mining Museum for England were we enjoyed, the outdoor play area, soft play, dressing up, weaving, listening to the stories on the films, seeing all the large mining equipment and especially the pit ponies. We’ve seen so many animals at Yorkshire Wildlife Park and we got to watch some amazing shows with victor the polar bear and the pirates of pantaloon bay. We have splashed in the sea, dug holes to sit in and made sandcastles with moats at Coatham beach. We have been to Lotherton and watched the penguins get fed, seen the capybaras and wallabies sunbathing and enjoyed running around on the grass and playing games like tag and limbo. We have also enjoyed splashing in the splash pad and looking at shells and talking about their shapes, sizes and colours and we especially liked learning how sea glass gets made smooth

This week with our friends from Ducklings Daycare and Great Preston Childminding we have been to one of our favourite spots Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal, National Trust and discover echoes, watched lots of different types of water and saw, cygnets and cootlings which the children sat and watched and then we had a great time playing in the play area. We have also helped one of our little ones celebrate a birthday, we have been to playgroup and really enjoyed playing with the vet set up and we had a local walk down the line away and spotted lots of different birds and plants on the way. 🦢⛲️🥳🎂🩺🥼🐦‍⬛

We’ve really enjoyed the last few weeks with our friends at Ducklings Daycare. We have been to playgroup and enjoyed singing some new songs and some of our favourites. We have enjoyed being outside more and playing football, riding scooters and bikes and balancing on the stepping stones. We’ve played with the water and sand. We have visited Beningbrough - National Trust and smelt the different flowers and herbs, talked about what fruit comes from each plant and looked at our reflections in the water and then enjoyed watching the cows as we played in the play area. We have also enjoyed a lovely day in some unexpected sunshine at Yorkshire Wildlife Park watching the polar bears swim, the giant otters splash, the tigers run, the monkeys climb and the giraffes eat their leaves 🫧🛴🚲🎶🌸🌺🌷🌱🍓🫐🍎🍒🐻‍❄️🦦🐅🐒🦒

Last week we did lots of exploring with our friends at Ducklings Daycare and Great Preston Childminding. We visited Lotherton and had a lovely walk around spotting the dragon eggs and even a few rabbits and smelt lots of wild garlic. We went to playgroup and made new friends and played with some friends we already know. We went to Nostell NT and had a big walk across the fields and played in the natural playground area, making stick and leaf potions in the dens and balancing on beams. We played out in the sunshine on our bikes and made games to see who was the fastest around the garden and we went somewhere new NT Hardcastle Crags where we had a walk in the sunshine watched ants carrying things, found where streams led and some of the children got me to discover how well I can balance by getting me to help them cross the river on stepping stones and then we checked out Gibson mill and did some colouring before heading back and listening to the birds we even think we heard an owl in the daytime 🌿🌱🌸🌼🐰🌳🐜🦉

Another great week of the Easter holidays with our friends at Ducklings Daycare and Great Preston Childminding. We have been to mayhem manor at Gulliver's Valley Resort were we have seen lots of animals and really liked watching the llama rollover, we did indoor rock climbing, played on soft play and the biggest bouncy castle ever. We have played in the sand, balanced on beams, walked, played tig/catch and climbed on all the new outdoor play areas at Sherwood Pines - Forestry England. We have walked miles around a lake, spotted many different birds and even saw some ducklings, we flew foam airplanes and climbed, balanced and jumped on the play area all at Clumber Park NT. We even saw the new arrivals of capybaras at Yorkshire Wildlife Park along with lots of our favourites like the polar bears, gibbons, zebras, giraffes, tigers, lions, sea lions, rhinos and we spent a lot of time in the play area on the zip line, sand area and obstacle course and the camels watched us whilst we did. 🧗🦙🏃‍♀️🦢🦆🐄
