⚠️ URGENT RECALL: Danone is recalling 15 Aptamil and Cow & Gate First Infant Milk and Follow on Milk formula products.

This is due to the possible presence of cereulide toxin, which can cause nausea, vomiting and abdominal cramps.

The latest recall affects the following products:

Here’s a few from our play-doh play last week! This resource really is one of our favourites here! Super versatile and greatly providing ample learning experiences 🥰

Last week we had a few aims in mind, working on fine motor skills, counting and cardinality and extending vocabulary through play.

The little ones exceeded my expectations on counting and cardinality and so we progressed onto bigger numbers, they did so well and really enjoyed the learning fun by making more of the shapes, adding them to the line and counting them independently.

Another lovely music session to start off our week yesterday! The children are really enjoying the experience and are growing more confident each week.

This week a few of them got up to dance around the room, laugh and play music with their friends, while a couple sat with me still to play music, sing and dance 🎶

Music is a huge part of what I do weekly with the children and they love singing nursery rhymes and dancing with their friends while here, which is then even more fun when we get to go out and do it with Mini Maestros 🎵

EARLY YEARS FEST IS BACK!
Following the success of the Early Years Fest last year with nearly 600 parents, grandparents, children and professionals, we’re having another Fest in February 2026 which will be even bigger!
Come along to this year's Early Years Fest and hear about all things baby - from pregnancy to a child being ready to start school! Here’s what you need to know:
🗓️Wednesday 25 February 2026
⏰The event is open from 10:00am and will close at 4:00pm
📍Pontefract Racecourse, Park Road, Pontefract WF8 4QD (in the Premier Suite – from the car park, head towards Grand Stand & Paddock)
(free parking on-site, refreshments and snacks provided, café available)
For professionals, there is the chance to network, find out about local support for the early years and child development with a range of partners hosting information stalls, and a selection of Mini Masterclasses running throughout the day.
For families, there will be their children’s favourite characters, a pop-up Stay and Play with story time, a FREE playful learning kit to take home, an adventure trail, and of course the information stalls and Mini Masterclasses too!
The event by is FREE open to all families and professionals in the Wakefield district. We look forward to seeing you.
The Mini Masterclasses at this year’s Fest include: Baby Massage, Parent and Infant Relationships, A Parent’s Toolkit (programmes for parents), Feeding my Child, and Playful Learning.

What a wonderful, busy week it has been this week. Exploring Autumn tuff trays with seasonal vegetables, leaves, acorns, conkers etc, to visiting playgroups and soft plays. Introducing our new self registration Autumn tree to encourage children to recognise and learn their names. So much fun had, and learning happening in the best way 🥰 Through play.

What a fun few weeks we’ve had over the end of the official summer term… lots of sun, outdoor play, role play, construction, writing/drawing, play doh, learning, parks, soft play and many many more. We even had a dance party before school a couple of days- which really picked up the mood! 🥰🥳
