Our diary dates went out yesterday and we have a jam-packed line-up of events planned for the coming months! 🥳

From Pumpkin Patches 🎃, Discos 🪩 and Wonka Bars 🍫 to Christmas 🎄, we’re ready and excited to put on a whole host of fun, family-friendly events for our pupils and their families to enjoy!

Over the last few years, the Friends of Wheldon have raised a wonderful amount of money for our school, allowing us to support the school in so many ways and, most importantly, give back to our children. ❤️

This year, we’re delighted to be supporting school massively by agreeing to fund two buses for the whole main school to attend the Christmas Pantomime! 🚌🎭🎄 That means every child will be able to enjoy a magical Christmas experience together.

But to keep making a difference, providing those extra experiences and giving our children more opportunities, resources and memorable moments, we need your help! 💚

Whether it’s buying a raffle ticket, coming along to an event, donating a prize, sharing our posts or even volunteering your grandma to help run a stall 😂 — every little bit genuinely makes a difference!

We’ll also be holding a Friends of Wheldon PTA meeting in school shortly, and we’d love to welcome any parents who would like to come along, find out a little more about what we do and hear about our aims for the year ahead.

Together, we can make an even bigger difference for our children! ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who has been trying to guess over the last few weeks – we’ve loved hearing all of your predictions!

Now the important question is… who’s ready to soak Mrs Chapman?!

Come along to our Summer Fayre today for an afternoon packed with fun, games, stalls, refreshments and, of course, your chance to drench Mrs Chapman! 💦

We can’t wait to see you all there for what promises to be a fantastic afternoon! 🌞

☀️ Our Summer Fayre is almost here! ☀️

We can’t wait to welcome everyone to our Summer Fayre this Thursday, 16th July, from 1.30pm–3.30pm for an afternoon packed with fun, games and fantastic prizes!

There’ll be something for everyone, including a bouncy castle, Forest School activities, tombola, raffle, sweet treats, glitter, bracelets, Drench the Teacher, and so much more!

💦 Have you guessed who our mystery “Drench the Teacher” volunteer will be yet? Keep those guesses coming – you’ll find out on the day!

🚓 We are also delighted to confirm that West Yorkshire Police will be joining us at the fayre, so make sure you pop over and say hello!

We can’t wait to see our children, families and the local community for what promises to be a fantastic afternoon.

✨ Summer Fayre Sneak Peek! ✨

Did you know we have a very talented Mrs Ingram?

In her own time, Mrs Ingram has lovingly handmade these gorgeous fluffy scrunchie hair bobbles especially for our Summer Fayre to help raise money for our school.

These beautiful scrunchies will be available to purchase alongside a fantastic selection of hair clips and other accessories, so be sure to pop by the stall and take a look. Every purchase helps support our school and the amazing opportunities we provide for our pupils.

A huge thank you to Mrs Ingram for her kindness, creativity and generosity – we’re sure these will be a big hit! 💛 🌈

A huge thank you to Little Mrs MacDonald, who has very kindly offered to handmake a personalised friendship bracelet for every single pupil in our school to help raise money at this year’s Summer Fayre ✨

Each bracelet will feature your child’s name and will be available to collect at the Summer Fayre in exchange for a donation – there’s no set price, simply give what you can. Every penny raised will go towards supporting our school and creating even more opportunities for our children.

We are incredibly grateful for the time, care and generosity that has gone into making these beautiful bracelets. We know our pupils will love wearing something made especially for them! 🌈✨

We are incredibly grateful for your generosity and support – every donation helps us make the event extra special for our pupils and school community.

We’re still accepting donations, so if you have any unwanted items that would be suitable for our tombolas or stalls, we’d be delighted to receive them. Every little helps us achieve our fundraising goals and make this year’s Summer Fayre our best ☀️
