Castlederg High School Secondary School in Co Tyrone. Castlederg High School values each pupil as a unique individual endowed with abilities, both academic and non-academic.

The ideal to which we aspire is to develop the confidence and self esteem of the pupils so that they are motivated to achieve their highest potential within a safe and caring environment. An understanding of the world and the place of humanity in it will be offered in the context of belief in Christian values whilst respect for other beliefs or none will be fostered.

🏆 Maths Week – What a Fun Week We've Had! 🎉

A huge well done to Callum in Year 10, our final winner of the Maths Week challenges! Callum successfully solved our riddle to round off the week. 👏

We have had a fantastic week of fun with our breaktime challenges, with lots of friendly competition and great discussions taking place around school each day! 🔢

There has also been plenty of fun in our Maths classrooms, with pupils enjoying a range of activities including board games, Countdown, Kahoot and bingo. 🎲🎯

To make the week even sweeter, our Further Maths and A Level Maths classes were treated to tea and delicious cupcakes! 🧁☕ A special thank you to our past pupil Emma, from Emma's Little Bakes, for the lovely cupcakes.

Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make Maths Week such a success. It has been brilliant to see so much enthusiasm for Maths throughout the school! 👏

The 1st and 2ndXI played Foyle College today. Both teams were narrowly beaten 1-0. Both teams worked hard throughout the match and were unfortunate to concede a goal. Today's challenge was to stop the stopwatch as close to 10 seconds as possible! ⏰ There were some great attempts, but congratulations to Harry in Year 11, who was closest to 10 seconds! 🎉👏

Support William’s Fundraising Campaign!🌟

Having been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes 1 year ago, our Year 12 student William is marking his 1st Diaversary by participating, along with his family, in the Enniskillen Spooktacular 5K on Fri 23rd October. William aims to fundraise to purchase a gaming station costing £3500 for the SWAH Children's Ward. He is well underway to achieving his goal but would be delighted if the school community could support his fundraiser to help reach the target total of £3500.

🏗️ Exploring Careers in Construction!

Our Year 9 pupils enjoyed a visit from David Lowry of Lowry Construction, who shared his experiences of working in the construction industry and highlighted the many exciting career opportunities available right here in our local area.

It was an informative and inspiring session, encouraging our pupils to explore future career pathways and consider the wide range of opportunities available to them. 👷‍♀️👷‍♂️

🔢🎉 MATHS WEEK HAS BEGUN AT CASTLEDERG HIGH SCHOOL! 🎉🔢

Today we kicked off our Maths Week challenges with "Guess the Number of Jellybeans" in the Jar! 🍬

A big congratulations to Ben in Year 12, who had the closest guess of 200! There were actually 202 jellybeans in the jar! 👏🍬
