🍎 A little apple magic at nursery! 🍎

Yesterday we welcomed Jules and Toni from Dumfries & Galloway Woodlands, who joined us for a fantastic hands-on experience making fresh apple juice with the children! 🍏

The children got stuck in, learning how to pulp the apples before using a traditional apple press to squeeze out all that delicious, fresh juice. They loved being involved in every step of the process and, of course, getting to sample the tasty juice they had made themselves! 😋

As they enjoyed their freshly pressed apple juice, the children listened to a lovely story all about apples being hidden EVERYWHERE! 🍎📚

What a wonderful opportunity to learn through hands-on experiences, explore where our food comes from, develop new skills and enjoy the simple magic of nature. ❤️

A huge thank you to Jules and Toni from D&G Woodlands for giving the children such a memorable experience! 🌳🍏

Today we said goodbye 👋 to Mrs Copeland the Springholm Primary cook as she retires. Mrs Copeland will be missed by us all making our yummy lunches.

She is one special lady who has gone over and above since we opened Springholm to make us feel welcome.

Happy Retirement 🙂

From the big things to the little things that often go unnoticed, we appreciate every single one of you and everything you bring to First Steps Nursery Springholm.

Thank you for being such a fantastic team. We appreciate you more than you know! 🫶🏼

The children found a little bumble bee crawling along the wall yesterday. We relocated the bumblebee to our hydrangea flowers. The children loved having a close look at the bumble bee but understood it was important not to touch her 🐝
