Closure update

Any local group, nursery, toddler groups whom would like any toys were donating are welcome to look and take away on Monday 18th dec 10-11.30am first come basis

Unfortunately as a committee we have come to the decision to close group. For months now attendance has been down. We have tried several options to make it busier over the last year and nothing has worked. Being a parent run group of volunteers who also have their own families, work and other commitments we unfortunately can’t offer what others can and a basic playgroup no longer seems to be needed in Castle Douglas. There are still some amazing local groups and things to do in and around the town. Peep at the community centre, book bug at the library, baby massage at the community centre, haugh of urr baby and toddlers, aquatots at castle Douglas swimming pool, Ernespie soft play, stewartry breastfeeding group and the cocoabean to name a few. Our last day of group will be FRIDAY the 15th of December . All of our toys and equipment will need to go for FREE which has kindly be donated over the years or purchased by group with money raised. Details on this will be posted on here soon but will all be available before Christmas so may make some excellent gifts also if any other local playgroups would like anything you are welcome after the attending children’s parents have taken . The money we raised recently at our bingo fundraiser will be donated to a local charity and details of this will also be posted here when we have decided. If anyone knows of any local charities that we could donate this to please comment your suggestions below. Thank you to those who still attend group and to all of those who have attended in the past. 🥰

Happening on Saturday the 25th November, down at Lochside Park, 12:00pm - 5:00pm 🎅🏻
