Donate Your Unwanted Laptop and Help Tackle Digital Poverty

This Challenge Poverty Week, we're asking individuals and businesses to help make a real difference by donating unwanted laptops to The IT Centre in Castle Douglas. We welcome donations of laptops less than seven years old. Devices in working condition are ideal, but laptops requiring minor repairs may also be suitable for refurbishment and a second life within the community.

Every device donated is securely data-wiped, certified, refurbished, and given a new lease of life supporting people across our community.

Many individuals and families are still experiencing digital exclusion and cannot afford the technology they need to access education, employment opportunities, essential services, and stay connected with others. By donating your unused laptop, you can help someone gain access to online learning, job searching, training, benefits, healthcare information, and social support. A device you no longer need could become a vital tool that helps someone improve their confidence, independence, and future prospects.

At The IT Centre, we work with people facing financial hardship, social isolation, disability, unemployment, and other barriers to digital access. Your donation helps us provide refurbished devices at little or no cost to those who need them most, ensuring that technology is available regardless of income. Together, we can reduce digital inequality and help everyone participate fully in today's digital world.

💻 Laptop Donation Appeal 💻

Do you have a laptop sitting unused at home or in your office?

We're looking for working laptops that are no more than 7 years old to help people in our community access digital services, training, employment opportunities, and stay connected.

If you have a laptop you no longer need and would be willing to donate, we'd love to hear from you. Every device can make a real difference to someone who would otherwise struggle to get online.
