Bookings for this year's Pulsebeat: Schools Out! rock band summer camps are now open!

Taking place 27th-31st July and 17th-21st August, in Lockington, Leicestershire (3mins from M1 J24), our summer camps give your child the chance to make new friends, build confidence and rock the stage, all as part of their very own rock band, all lead by highly experienced musicians.

With a choice of Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Keyboard and Drums, you child can learn songs on two instruments, make their very own music video and perform for family and friends at the end of the week.

Earlybird pricing (until March 31st): £184.50 for an entire week of musical excitement!

WORK OPPORTUNITY FOR MUSICIANS!

Due to a drop out, we need a drummer (ideally with a current Enhanced DBS) to lead a KS1 drum group (snares) at a primary school in Nottingham on Tuesdays, between 2.30pm and 4.30pm, starting September 9th.

Pay would be £40 per session.

We also have more groups set to start at other schools in the area after October half term, so there is scope to add more hours and grow with us.

This week saw the second year for the Pulsebeat: Schools Out summer camp.

Three bands of children aged 5-11 spent the week learning classic songs, making new friends, making music videos and finally raising the roof with an incredible performance to family and friends.

At the start of the week, some of them had never played an instrument before, by the end of the week they were rocking the stage with confidence and having a great time whilst they were at it!

We’re so proud of every last one of them!

ANNOUNCING: Pulsebeat School’s Out! Summer camp; a full week of awesome music for ages 5-11.

After the success of last year’s camp, this year we are returning to the centrally located Lockington Village Hall (Just off M1 J24), between August 11th and 15th.

The camp will consist of 5 days of music, and other fun activities, with a performance at the end of the final day, where you can come and see your own rockstars take to the stage.

The camp takes place between 9am and 3.30pm, with additional wraparound sessions (8am – 5pm) available for a small additional fee of £2 per day.

Activities on offer:
-Rock band sessions.
These form the bulk of the camp, with your child being part of their very own rock band, learning two awesome songs to perform to you on the last day.

-Skills sessions.
Our experienced tutors will lead sessions including logo design, stage presence workshops and teamwork challenges; all designed to be fun and engaging, whilst developing a range of skills.

-“Rockestra.”
In this session, everyone works together to form one giant mega-band, to perform one song all together. This is really a spectacle, and an experience really like nothing else!

-Media experience.
Towards the end of the week, each band has the chance to do their own photoshoot, and create their very own music video. Giving everyone a fantastic souvenir to remember all the fun they’ve had!

Day 3 at Pulsebeat: Schools Out!

When they weren't rehearsing, the kids took part in a Stage Presence workshop in the morning, learning ways to use movement to take their performance to the next level.

In the afternoon they did a band photoshoot, and started to come up with some super creative ideas for the music videos they'll be filming tomorrow!
