🌟 A Productive Team Meeting! 🌟

Our team had a fantastic and productive staff meeting today, focusing on how we can make carpet time more engaging, interactive and meaningful for our children. 📚✨

We explored the use of interactive storytelling and Bucket Time, creating fun stories using random objects to spark imagination, curiosity and conversation. 🪣📖

These experiences support a range of EYFS areas, including:

🗣️ Communication & Language – encouraging children to listen, develop vocabulary, join in with stories and express their ideas.

🤝 PSED – supporting attention, turn-taking, confidence and positive relationships.

🎨 Expressive Arts & Design – using imagination and creativity to develop our own stories and ideas.

🧠 Understanding the World – encouraging curiosity, exploration and thinking about unfamiliar objects.

🏃 Physical Development – supporting children to sit, move, reach and interact during engaging group activities.

We loved seeing our team’s creativity and enthusiasm! ❤️ Our focus is always on creating engaging learning opportunities that build curiosity, confidence and a love of learning. 🌈✨

🐝 Last week we all buzzed with excitement for World Bee Day! We celebrated our tiny pollinator friends through fun activities, learning, and creativity. Bees play such an important role in our world, and our little learners loved discovering why they matter so much! 🌼💛

“Like a dandelion carried by the wind, military children learn to bloom wherever life plants them — resilient, brave, and full of hope no matter where they land.”

To finish off our Month of the Military child celebrations we hosted a wonderful teddy bears picnic with our fabulous families. A day full of smiles, sunshine and lots of ice cream!
Together we created this beautiful Dandelion collage which now takes pride of place in our foyer.

During MOTMC we have been exploring the many roles within the military community, giving children opportunities to learn about a wide range of careers—from Police, firefighters to chefs.
Through hands-on activities, role play, stories, and discussion, children have been able to broaden their understanding of the world around them while developing confidence, curiosity, and respect for the people who serve.
These enriching experiences help children build communication skills, inspire imaginative play, and create meaningful connections to the diverse careers that support our armed forces. Most importantly, it gives military children a chance to see their family experiences reflected, valued, and celebrated.
We are proud to recognise the incredible strength of military children—not just this month, but every day. 💜

Today is Purple up Day! A day to recognise military children everywhere and their incredible strength and resilience! 💜 The children took part in all things purple today from mixing purple potions, purple play dough, purple sensory baskets to tending to our purple flowers 💜
