🌟💙September fun in P1&2💙🌟

Our new P1 pupils have settled in so well and are enjoying getting to know their teachers, friends and school routines. We are so proud of how well they play together and how much they have been learning already! Our P2 pupils have been setting an excellent example for younger pupils and are developing so many new skills.

The foundation stage staff have worked hard to create our new PLAY POD giving our youngest pupils lots of space and opportunities to experiment, role play, create and explore. It is a special place for learning, fun and lots of laughter! 💙

🌍European Day of Languages 2026 🌍

Pupils had great fun travelling around school today learning about different European countries including their language, landmarks, celebrations and traditions! They played a French colour game, used the iPads to colour German bunting, rowed with Haaland and the Norwegian football team, danced to Italian music, constructed a leaning Tower of Pisa using cups, introduced themselves in Spanish and listened to Danish folklore about mischievous nisse! Great learning and great fun! 🌟

🩵💙Meet the Teacher at CPS💙🩵

Thank you to everyone who came along to our annual “Meet the Teacher” event last night. The hall was full as we heard from our new school principal, Mr Armstrong. Each class teacher then hosted a session in their classroom when they shared their vision for the year ahead, suggested ways parents could support their child’s learning and took the opportunity to have a chat together.

🌟At CPS we care strongly about positive links with our families and community. 🌟

🌟CPS Superstar!🌟

A shout out to our incredible staff member, Mrs Lemon, who took part in the Great North Run, running 13.1 miles from Newcastle to South Shields with an amazing finishing time of 2.09.53👏

A fantastic reminder for our CPS community that we can do challenging things, hard work pays off and everything is easier with friends cheering us on! Well done Mrs L! 🩵💙
