Over the last week, we have been absolutely delighted to welcome our pupils back after the summer break. The summer is such a special time for everyone to rest, have fun and get ready for another exciting year ahead.
Some of our pupils have returned with the loveliest news to share about what they have been getting up to over the summer and Kacey from P5 has a particularly special story close to her heart. πΎβ€οΈ
Over the summer, Kacey and her family have been volunteering with Mid Antrim Animal Sanctuary to foster pregnant cats and their kittens while they wait to find their forever families. Together, they have already fostered and helped find loving homes for 8 kittens and cats.
Here is our very caring Kacey pictured with their most recent little foster, Rose, who was on her way to a vet appointment after school drop off π₯°
What Kacey and her family are doing is wonderful. It takes so much love, and patience to care for an animal and help them on their journey to a safe and happy forever home and we couldnβt think of anyone better than Kacey to show them just that.
We are incredibly proud of Kacey and the difference she has made towards these animals in such a short period of time.
Kacey is also very keen to remind everyone of something very important: her kittens only go to βthe very best and most caring homes!β π‘
Her kindness is also a beautiful reminder to us all of the huge responsibility that comes with welcoming a pet into our family.
Every cat deserves to be loved for life. We can all do our part to help reduce the number of cats and kittens needing sanctuary care across Northern Ireland, including by ensuring our cats are spayed and neutered.
Kacey, we are so proud of you! π Your kind heart and the love you have for animals are truly something to be celebrated.
We hope your fostering journey with your family continues for many years and that together you can help many more little cats find the loving, safe and happy homes they deserve πΎ
