A wee Mover & Shaker story 💛

Kerstin joined Move & Shake Your English earlier this year, and when this email landed in my inbox, it honestly made me stop and smile.
Because sometimes you don't realise just how much something has changed until someone puts it into words.
Kerstin had been learning English for years, actually, decades, but she described it as:
“a duty, a task and had to be done.”
And now?
“NOW: I HAVE FUN.”
That’s the bit that really got me. ❤️

She told me that she gets a little nervous before our lessons, but then we start talking, the time flies, and suddenly the lesson is over.
She also said:
“I really enjoy our lessons, because time only flies when we have a good time.”
And that, for me, is what Move & Shake Your English is all about.
Not just learning more English.
But using it. Enjoying it. Connecting through it. Making it part of your life.
And sometimes, without even noticing, something shifts.

Our most recent Language and Immersion programme was an inter-generational one. A grandmother and a granddaughter from Italy. It was an absolute joy to see them enjoying themselves, being amazed by the scenery and nature of Northern Ireland and making memories through English.

Their workbooks were personalised, but mirrored each other, as they followed the same path and journey.
They especially loved their daily journal pages.

A wonderful afternoon at The Argory's Summer of Fun. Can't wait to take our Move & Shake Your English guests in August on our Language & Culture Immersion Programme.


A great combination of beautiful landscapes, interesting heritage and a warm, relaxing atmosphere. Also a very well stocked second-hand book shop.

I got 3 certifications that are very important for Move & Shake Your English and its English & Cultural Immersion Programmes in Northern Ireland.
