In The Swim

In The Swim Swimming School based in Capernwray nr Carnforth, Lancashire. Teaching children ages 3+ to swim. There is also a teacher and a teaching assistant in the pool.

In The Swim is a locally run swimming school based at Capernwray Hall, just outside of Carnforth. We teach children from the ages of 3 the basics of learning how to swim. There are 3 different groups in each session:
Beginners- In this group it is generally younger children who do not know how to swim, there is always a teacher and at least one teaching assistant in the water with the children. Im

provement: This group is for children who have a basic understanding of how to swim but still need assistance in the water, though not as much as the beginners. Stroke Improvement: This group is for children that have mastered the previous groups and know how to swim without assistance and are confident in deeper water, children will be taught the basics of stroke technique etc...

New term starting 8th July. Capernwray Hall Pool.

MISS THE SEPTEMBER RUSH.

We are doing the first 3wks then the summer break (dates on enrolment form) and returning for the remaining 7wks from 2nd September.

We have a teacher and Assistant in the water with lower level classes where needed.

Non swimmers work on safety and confidence to start and each term includes a ‘Float to Live’ session where every child has the chance to swim in clothes and learn what to do if they ever fall in to water unexpectedly.

Book with a second person and save £10 off each.

Enrolment forms are now available for our next term. As usual our current swimmers get priority booking and that deadline date is 28th June. If that date is a problem for anyone please contact Vicki otherwise any places unpaid for after then will be classed as a vacancy and offered to others.
It’s a difficult term date wise, if we don’t start straight away it means a 2 month break over summer so we are doing a split term with 3wks before the break and then a straight 7wks when we restart 2nd September.

We will be looking for another Assistant to start in September so if you have an older child or are a parent that would like to help with classes please let me know.

Remember, we always offer £10 off for any referrals.

Little reminder from Capernwray re phone use.
Not sure if the comment came from our classes and I’m sure I don’t need to remind parents about phone use while in the changing rooms or poolside but I’m sharing as requested and asking you all to not hesitate in reminding others if you do see a phone being used in those 2 areas.

Here’s a proper explanation of what happened at the pool this week as the message I sent out was very short to save time.
Unfortunately when we arrived at the pool on Wednesday the electricity still hadn’t been turned back on from the work that had been taking place in the area that day.
Capernwray were unable to notify us beforehand because they were told it would be back on for 4pm so it was as much a surprise to them as it was to us when they went to open up for us.
We can only apologise that this is the second cancellation recently, something that very rarely happens in the 30yrs I’ve been running In The Swim from there.
Hopefully we have seen the back of any problems and be back to operating regularly again now.

The replacement session will be added onto the end of this term. We will keep our ‘Float to Live’ session on 3rd June as planned to avoid any confusion.

Don’t forget it is half term next week so there are no lessons now until 3rd June.

Here’s to a happy half term.

Oow, don’t forget it’s their open day on Sunday with lots of free activities for the children.
