💜 PARENT SUPPORT WITH CALM TOGETHER 💜

From 1st September, Calm Together at The SEND Den will be offering parent support — a safe, welcoming space where parents, carers and families can come together, talk, share experiences, find understanding and access practical support. 🫶

You don’t have to face things alone. Whether you’re struggling with behaviour, anxiety, school, SEND, emotional regulation or simply need someone who understands — we’re here to listen without judgement. 💕

We’re incredibly proud to be partnered with NHS & Spring North, helping us reach and support even more families within our community.

✨ Please LIKE, SHARE & FOLLOW us ✨
We want to reach as many parents, carers and families as possible — because sometimes, finding the right support can make all the difference.

AI chatbots are increasingly part of children’s digital lives, with tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini and My AI being used for questions, ideas, homework support and content generation.

While these tools can create opportunities for learning and creativity, they also introduce important safeguarding, wellbeing and learning considerations.

Our latest guide supports parents, carers and educators in understanding how AI chatbots work and how to help young people use them responsibly.

The guide explores:
• Inaccurate information and the need for critical evaluation
• Inappropriate content and age-related concerns
• Academic dishonesty and over-reliance
• Emotional dependency and blurred boundaries
• Data privacy risks and safe use of settings

With clear, practical advice, this resource helps adults support safe, balanced and informed AI use.

Spending time outdoors can play an important role in children’s wellbeing, learning, confidence and development.

However, busy routines, safety concerns and limited access to outdoor space can make it harder for families, schools and carers to prioritise time in nature.

Our latest guide shares simple, practical ideas to help children reconnect with the natural world, including:
• Noticing wildlife during everyday routines
• Taking familiar activities outside
• Creating mini adventures
• Growing plants or building nature at home
• Using technology to identify birdsong, insects and wildlife
• Supporting older children with independence and sensible risk-taking

With realistic ideas for all ages, the guide helps make outdoor time feel accessible, enjoyable and worthwhile.
