Suitable for all ages, sizes and abilities. I teach everyone according to what they can do.
This is a four week block of four consecutive lessons.

Workshop Notes Saturday Morning Sword

Another Saturday morning working through sword form and a martial set to sharpen stepping, decision making under pressure, and overall understanding of the straight sword. I stepped back more than usual, letting the students move, test, and improve in their own rhythm. The room settled into its own flow and the practice turned into genuine fun.

One of the high points of running a martial arts school is the beginners course. New people entering the hall, taking that first step, and as Lao Tse said, a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. It’s not for everyone. Some never return, some join the school, some get hooked for life. You never know on that first night who it will be.

Thursday’s new starters were keen from the warm ups, through the push hands drills, the joint class beginners form, and into the combat work at the end. Good intent, good attention, a strong first session.

Start your journey this August

All shapes ages and abilities welcome. Enjoy a structured four week block tailored for everyone. This course offers a deep immersion into the art of Tai Chi Chuan.

Hand Form. Master a series of solo moves to enhance coordination posture and balance.
Pushing Hands. Learn foundational drills involving partner interaction to develop sensitivity and flow.
Practical Self Defense. Gain effective skills for personal protection in a safe supportive environment.

Added the final part of the paired sword set today. Another chance for the lads to own the Chaos properly, finding solutions to problems quickly or learning the consequences when things slipped.

The session had great energy from start to finish. Everyone pushed themselves, everyone sharpened their timing, and the room had that lively mix of pressure, focus and enjoyment that makes this kind of training so worthwhile.

A really solid day.

The school operates on a four‑week tuition system. Fees cover four consecutive weeks of teaching and are not carried over. Classes run consistently each week, and instruction is prepared regardless of attendance. This structure ensures stability for the group and fairness for everyone.

Regular Club Monthly Fees
• 4 Weekly (one class per week): £50
• 4 Weekly (two classes per week): £85
• 18 Years and Under: £35
