The final installment of our week supporting Give a Day Carlisle...
Last Thursday we went to Cubby Construction to meet Layla, Jack & Peter.
What a wonderful morning they had put together for us 🥰
They gave us a demonstration of how the birdboxes were designed & made, before we finished off some boxes ourselves. We then got decorated them 🐦
To finish off the session we were able to sit in an excavator!
Kindness goes a long way & we are very grateful for the way you took the time with out children, chatting with them & making them feel valued.
Today we took the bird boxes to Kingmoor Park who will be putting them up for us around the industrial estate.
This is part of a bigger project we have been working on, to attract more birds around nursery.
Earlier this year the children put together & filled new planters with shrubs, & added bird feeders. We hope to have lots of new neighbours join us over the years, continuing to help our local environment thrive.
Thank you for giving the children (and adults!) a fabulous experience ❤️

They both work throughout all of our rooms to encourage our families to:
