From splashing nervously on day one... to singing the songs on the way home. 💙

That's the Dinkies journey, and it's something really special. We've been running baby and toddler swim lessons in Carlisle for nearly two years now, and every week we get to witness those incredible moments — little ones discovering confidence in the water, parents relaxing and enjoying the experience alongside them.

It's not just swimming. It's bonding, it's laughing, it's that look on their face when they do something for the very first time. 🌊

For children powered entirely by snacks and determination

If your toddler can:
🏃 Run away at surprising speeds
🎵 Sing one line of a song 47 times
🦖 Roar at strangers

They’re ready for Dinkies.

Our toddler and preschool lessons channel all that wonderful energy into confidence, swimming skills and plenty of fun.

Plus, water is one of the few places where they can’t suddenly climb on the kitchen table.

A win is a win.

💙 Fun, engaging classes

🌊 Life Saving Skills For Children 🌊

Swimming lessons are about so much more than learning strokes.

This week at Dinkies Swim School we’ll be focusing more closely on drowning prevention and practical water safety skills for all ages.

Our older swimmers will be practising using their voices confidently to shout for help, while younger children build confidence through floating and safe movement activities.

Every child deserves to feel safer around water 💙

⏰ Lessons are 30 minutes
💷 £10.50 per session

🌊 Special Water Safety Lessons This Week 🌊

Tomorrow we start our drowning prevention lessons. This week at Dinkies Swim School we’ll be delivering targeted drowning prevention lessons alongside our normal swimming programme.

Children will be building confidence while learning important safety techniques including:
💦 Floating and treading water
💦 Listening to safety instructions
💦 Understanding water rules
💦 Calling for help
💦 Basic rescue awareness

Our older swimmers especially enjoy practising their “SHOUT FOR HELP!” skills in the pool!

Every swimming lesson should teach more than strokes, safety skills save lives. 💙
