Burgh by Sands School

As we have reached the end of the school year, the last two days have been filled with some heartfelt goodbyes.

A huge thank you to Miss Bell, Mrs Welsh and Mr Kennedy, who have been teaching with us throughout the Summer term. They have been utterly fabulous and a wonderful part of our team. We wish them all the very best, and we're sure Mr Kennedy is especially looking forward to a well-earned, restful summer! ☀️

We also said goodbye to Mr Cairns, who came to our rescue a few months ago.
His calm, approachable nature was exactly what we needed. He has truly been the steady hand guiding the ship, and we are incredibly grateful that he came to work with us.
Thank you, Mr Cairns – we will always appreciate everything you have done. 💙

To all of our amazing children and parents, thank you from us all for the beautiful cards, thoughtful gifts and kind words.
The Burgh community really is one in a million, and we feel so lucky to be part of it. 💙

To our fantastic Year 6 pupils – good luck as you begin your next adventure. We know you'll do amazing things! 🎉

Wow, where do I start? What an amazing night out we had for the Year 6 camp out! From start to finish, we laughed non-stop. The children were such fantastic company, and we made so many memories that will stay with us forever... or at least our aching bodies will! 😂😂

A massive thank you to Dave Marrs for providing us with the best slip and slide! I don't know who enjoyed it more—the kids or the adults! 😅 From splashing around on the slip and slide to football, pizzas, hide and seek, and toasting marshmallows around the campfire... what a night!

These are the memories that will last a lifetime. ❤️ Thank you to everyone who made it so special!

What a way to end our sports week! ⚽️🏃‍♀️🏋️
We had Dean from Mini Warriors come along to deliver a fun and engaging bootcamp session for everyone! (Teachers included!!) We developed our strength skills, worked collaboratively as a team and most importantly had lots of fun 😊. The day ended with a whole school tug of war competition! Great effort all round!

A huge well done to Imogen and Eleanor for completing the Summer Reading Challenge! They read an incredible total of 30 books across a wide variety of genres. What an amazing achievement and a fantastic effort from both of them. We are so proud of your dedication and love of reading—keep up the great work!
