The Manor Pre-School Nursery

Nursery reopens this morning for the start of the new term, new year. We look forward to seeing you all.

Christmas activities are in full swing for the last week of term 🎄 🎅🏼

In early January, after nine and a half years Miss Baron will be leaving nursery for pastures new. Miss Byers will be the interim manager while recruitment continues.

Winter small world and nativity scene. Opportunities for children to learn and develop greater understanding of the world and develop their communication and language.

Following children’s interests we have provided activities/resources this week to enhance their curiosity. Different construction, finding numbers in snow & shiny shredded paper and making shapes in wet sand. We have also introduced two larger puppets following the continued interests in the smaller puppets.
Each providing an opportunity to promote children’s communication and language, developing fine motor skills and problem solving.

This week we were busy moving outside on the bikes, tractor and didicars, developing our big muscles, along with our coordination, balance and resilience.
Inside, our small world safari set proved popular, developing children’s communication & language, imaginative play & their fine motor skills.

It’s the time of year that many children have coughs and colds. To safeguard other children & staff children with a temperature or requiring calpol should not be attending nursery.

Today is Children In Need day, children are welcome to wear their pjs or pudsey T-shirts. We welcome any donations. Thank you
