We are so proud of our student Mitchell who is at Annie Mawson's Sunbeams Music Trust - Sunbeams as part of our ‘Inspire Me’ work experience programme.

It's been fantastic to welcome Mitchell this week for his work experience. Today he accompanied Will and Annie in a 'Music for Life®’ musical therapy session for S.E.N.D. children. Mitchell said ‘During my time at Sunbeams I have seen fun, smiles and laugh out loud moments, I will always be honoured to have been a part of this’. Thanks Mitchell, you have been PHENOMENAL !!!

We are deeply saddened to hear about our past music student Lewis. He was a smiley character who brought fun, charm and great musicianship to the course. Our thoughts are with his family at such a tragically heartbreaking time 🤍

Road policing officers are continuing enquiries following a fatal collision near Annan on Friday, 13 December, 2024.

The incident happened around 8.25pm on the B6357 Annan-Cannonbie-Jedburgh Road.

A 22-year-old man who died at the scene has been named as Lewis Chapman from Langholm.

His family said: “Lewis really was the perfect son and a credit to everyone who knew him. He's left an irreplaceable void in his devoted family's life and will be sorely missed by all.”

Enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances and officers continue to appeal for witnesses. Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 3502 of Friday, 13 December, 2024.
