This week the children will be:
💪starting to build independently with a range of appropriate resources.

Staff will provide a range of appropriate resources for the children to build with. Staff will model placing the bricks on top of each other to build a tower and encourage the children to have a go. Staff will give lots of praise when the children make a tower.
We will model turn taking and using the bricks appropriately ( no throwing).
BUT don't forget it is always more fun knocking the tower down.

WC 10th August Squirrels
This week the children will be:
😀developing their sense of responsibility and membership of a community
📖begin to notice some print, such as a bus or door number or a familiar logo

Staff this week are following children's interests from last week - they were all pretending to go on a bus by lining up the chairs and taking turns to be the driver. So staff are going to take the children out on some little trips in the local area. We will hopefully have a trip on the bus and staff will talk about safety when they are out and about - holding hands, listening to the adults who are with them. We will encourage the children to see what they can see and discuss the things they spot.

At home:
When out and about together talk about what you can see, talk about the street signs, bus and door numbers.
