ℹ️ Valve-free (free-flow) cups and beakers are better for a baby's teeth and oral development than valved "no-spill" cups.

They lack a resistance valve, babies must sip rather than suck, which prevents liquid from pooling around the teeth and encourages proper jaw and speech muscle movement.

We recommend you introduce a cup to your baby at approx. 6 months.

We’ll be doing the raffle at 10am Friday 14th August. That means there’s only today and a couple of hours in the morning to buy tickets and to be in with a chance of willing one of the fabulous prizes which have been donated to buy a memorial bench for our Blake 💙💙

Don’t forget, it’s our annual Station Open Day on Saturday 15th August 2026!

There is loads planned, and further information will be released nearer the time.

Expect lots of fun activities, and special guests including Cumbria Police Specialist Search Dogs North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust Blood Bikes Cumbria.

Entry for the general public will be from 11am, but we are also hosting a quieter, sensory friendly hour for those with special needs from 10am-11am.

⭐️OUR RAFFLE IS READY!! ⭐️

As some of you know, we sadly lost one of children last year, and we have been working hard and doing bits and pieces within nursery to raise money to buy Blake and his family a memorial bench. We are having one last push with this fantastic raffle to reach our end goal.

£2 per strip to help us reach our goal for Blake’s memorial bench ❤️

Thank you to everyone who has helped us to create this fabulous selection of prizes. We are all so grateful and just blown away how kind and generous people and businesses have been.

These are some of the prizes up for grabs, but we have many more, including a £50 nail voucher donated by Laura Burton and a touch wax melt lamp given by gift it different.
