It was a lovely morning to play netball and seven girls took part in an event at Central Academy. Playing four matches, it gave the girls chance to learn the rules and develop their skills in a friendly environment. Hi 5 netball allows the girls to play in different positions and they are now better prepared for tournaments later in the year. Well done.

House Cross Country 2026 ✨

Wow! What a fantastic afternoon!

Yesterday saw the annual House cross country event take place with all children in all year groups participating.

Kicking off with Reception, Year One & Two completing their circuit around the school grounds lead by “hare” Haughan - our youngest pupils did so well, even losing a shoe or two 🤭 well done to everyone for giving it their best shot!

Next up was Years 3-6 down on the Holmes lead by “hare” McCrea, with some fantastic effort and speed thundering over the finish line.

Brilliant turn out and support from parents too, thank you for coming.

Standby for final results but it looks like Catbells have taken the lead.

Here are some of the many photos captured during the afternoon ☺️

Congratulations to our Y5/6 Football Team!

On Tuesday they took part in the Small School’s 5-a-side tournament @ Harraby 3G.

The boys topped their first group winning 4 and drawing 1 without conceding a goal, and went through to the final group stage to play for the trophy. Four teams ended on 10 points and we won the tournament on goals scored 💪👏

A first achievement for Cummersdale in a number of years, so, true to his word Mr T paid out their reward of a well earned McFlurry 🍦

Well done to everyone involved, a great win!
