“Pupils are proud to attend this happy school. They know that they belong, are well cared for
and safe. They trust staff because of the positive relationships that they have with them.
Consistent and well-established rules and routines create a calm and purposeful learning
environment.

Pupils enjoy their social times and play well together. They are courteous and well
mannered. Older pupils are positive role models for their younger peers. On the very rare
occasion that bullying occurs, staff deal with it swiftly.

Pupils engage well with their learning. They find it interesting and want to do well.

Leaders provide highly effective pastoral support when pupils need it. This includes using

Four very brave children went to Thursby school this afternoon for a spelling bee. In teams they played word and spelling games and then had to spell some very tricky words in the spelling bee! We were very impressed with their spelling abilities - well done all of you! 👏⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A fascinating science lesson in Year 5/6 today! 🫀

Today, As part of our circulatory system topic, the children explored a real ox heart through dissection.

Identifying key parts of the heart and deepening their understanding of how it works.

A fantastic hands-on learning experience, with lots of curiosity, bravery and brilliant scientific thinking on show!
