In our worship yesterday, Ste and Shirley from Carlisle Key came to receive our harvest gifts and to tell us a little more about the wonderful work Carlisle Key do with young adults.
Thank you to everyone for donating so generously - your gifts of food will make such a difference to our young people in Carlisle who are going through a difficult time. Thank you! 🙏

Our wonderful stars of the week and golden welly winners! Well done to you all! 🌟

Yesterday, Years 3–6 were treated to a wonderful maths workshop all about financial literacy!

Kiera, Megan and Kinga from the Cumberland team introduced the children to budgeting and saving — important skills they’ll use more and more as they grow older.

The children were given a budget of £100 to plan the perfect party, carefully considering how to spend their money before presenting their plans to the rest of the class. We had so much fun!

A huge thank you to Kiera, Megan and Kinga for such an engaging and enjoyable workshop! 💴

Yesterday, Class one joined a wonderful Zoom session with the Lancaster and Lakes Jewish Community to learn more about the Jewish festival of Sukkot. 🍂✨
We loved finding out about the traditions of Sukkot and were especially inspired by the Sukkah. Afterwards, we got creative and made our very own mini versions! 🏠🌿
A lovely opportunity to learn about another faith, explore its traditions and get creative together. 💛

Yesterday we joined Picture News Live Assembly with Clare Bristow from The Sadie Bristow Foundation and pupil, Reuben!

We learned more about allergies, why allergy awareness matters, and the simple things we can all do to help keep each other safe.

With Benedict’s Law bringing greater focus to allergy safety in schools, it was brilliant to raise awareness with the children as well!

📚 Class One’s exciting day continued this afternoon with a visit to Carlisle Library! 📖✨
We found out all about the different types of books you can find in a library and had lots of time to explore and enjoy books we hadn’t seen before.
We also got creative and made our very own bookmarks to take home! 🔖🎨
What a lovely afternoon of reading, exploring and creating to finish off our very busy day! 🌟 Carlisle Library

🧸 Class One had an exciting day today! 🪀

What a great time we had finding out all about toys from the past at Tullie Museum!
We saw a doll that was over 200 years old, ordered teddy bears on a timeline, played with traditional outdoor toys and moving toys, and even made our very own spoon dolls! 🥄🎀
It was a very busy morning, and we also had time to explore the fantastic toy display currently running at the museum.
What a brilliant way to bring our learning about the past to life! 🌟 Tullie
