🌞 Can You Help Us Create Something Special? 🌞

We’re developing an outdoor learning space where children can climb, build, explore nature, and learn through play. To bring this vision to life, we’re looking for donations of large, reusable items that can be transformed into exciting learning zones.

Items we’re hoping to collect include:

Tractor tyres for climbing, balancing and imaginative play

Tree stumps for seating circles and natural building

Electric cable reels for tables, platforms and creative stations

Logs for construction and seating

Wooden pallets for den‑building and outdoor structures

Large planters to grow herbs, flowers and sensory plants

Chalkboard paint to create outdoor writing walls and mark‑making areas

If you have any of these items — or anything similar — we’d be delighted to accept your donations. Thank you for helping us create a magical outdoor space for our children.

🌟 Yesterday we said goodbye to our amazing Year 6 pupils! 🌟

What a wonderful group of children they have been — hardworking, kind, funny, resilient, and a credit to our school in every possible way. We are so proud of everything they’ve achieved, and we know they will shine just as brightly as they move on to secondary school.

Year 6, thank you for being brilliant. We will miss you, but we cannot wait to see all the incredible things you’ll do next.

💛 We also said goodbye to several much‑loved members of staff, each of whom has made a special impact on our school community:

Miss Nell— A calm, friendly and welcoming presence in our school office. She has supported families, staff and pupils with kindness every single day.
Mrs Lund — A generous, warm member of our Newtown community, who has supported our families for many years with compassion, understanding and unwavering commitment.
Mr Perry— After many years of service, his dedication, humour and steady presence have left a lasting mark on our school.
Miss Stulika— A dedicated learning support assistant who has helped children across the school grow in confidence and achieve their best.
Mrs Campbell— A valued member of Coniston Class who has brought warmth, creativity and care to her work.

And a very special farewell to Mrs Roberts, our Headteacher, who has worked tirelessly to make Newtown the amazing, nurturing and ambitious school it is today. Her leadership, passion and unwavering commitment to our children and families have shaped the heart of our community. We are deeply grateful for everything she has done.

To all of them: thank you. You will always be part of our school family, and we wish you happiness and success in your next chapters.

🎉🥳 Yesterday, our incredible year 6s had their Leavers' party. They laughed and danced from start to finish and had the very best time! We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated their time, food, money and resources to help us make that happen for them! 🎉🥳
