It is aimed at teaching children aged 4-11 to help children feel happy, confident and excited about learning.

We have been working on teen numbers today. Teen numbers can be tricky, especially 11, 12, 13 and 15 because you can’t hear the number 1,2,3 or 5 like you can hear 4,6,7,8 and 9 in the rest of the teen numbers. It can take a lot of practice so I have used this as an opportunity to see the numbers in different representations to deepen their understanding of number.

Some great work by T today. He is really securing his understanding of numbers to 100 by looking for patterns and using the 100 square to locate numbers and investigate the numbers around it.

Is your child beginning their phonics journey? Top tip - make sure that you are pronouncing s correctly (there are plenty of videos on YouTube to show the correct pronunciation) and make sure your child is hearing plenty of words with s as the beginning sound.
