Future of Taru
Taru is a small town situated on the main Nairobi-Mombasa highway in Kenya, and is around 80km from the coastal resort of Mombasa. Best wishes, Paul Moffat.
Future of Taru is a UK Registered Charity (1184640) supporting children in the small town of Taru, Kenya, so that they can access affordable or sponsored education, and have a healthy Kenyan staple meal each school day I had been supporting orphanages, rescue centres, and individual kids in Kenya for a number of years, however after visiting Taru for the third time I decided that I wanted to devel

End of Term Two, Future of Taru fashion show, part 1......
Please enjoy various lessons taking place at our school 🙏🏽
How about a bit of cultural dancing at our school Future of Taru
So it's one week since the lads started their Coast to Coast Cycle, to raise funds for Future of Taru.
I'd like to say a huge thank you to Mark, Stuart, Gary, Kevin, and Steve for their amazing efforts and support, cycling across Scotland isn't for the faint hearted!
I'd also like to thank all of those who supported them and us with donations, we truly appreciate all that you do for us in ensuring we continue to develop our school.
Just over £3000 has been raised, and now I need to get out there and find the additional funds to get us to that £6000 mark, after which we can complete development of a building at school, where we wish to do Computer classes and Hone Science classes, amongst other things.
We can't do this without you, our supporters, and we keep on keeping on together. God bless you all 🙏
If anyone is aware of any Trusts or Foundations who you feel may be willing to support us with a grant, then please do not hesitate to contact me, and I'll do the rest !
Day 2 of the lads doing their Coast to Coast Cycle, today from Killin to Kirriemuir.
£2600 raised so far, inclusive of Gift Aid, which is absolutely amazing.
Almost half way towards raising enough to fully construct the first floor of our main building at Future of Taru School.
The lads could be up against the weather again today, so please keep them in good spirits by supporting them along the way 🙏

Tomorrow is the day that the lads begin their Coast to Coast Cycle, with them very kindly supporting Future of Taru once again.
Apart from the lads having a fab time together, the other aim is to raise as much as possible, in order to support our school to get towards finishing off construction of our main school block.
We need a unique space for specific classes, and the first floor completion would provide this space.
This week I have been in Taru, and attached is an update video I have taken at the school.
Please support the lads with any donation you are able to 🙏🏽
The cost to finish the construction will be around £6000, with around £1000 already donated.
Any support you can offer would be truly appreciated

Happy Father's Day to all those fathers who support us and work with us at Future of Taru, we truly appreciate all that you do.
It would make the day even better if we could find sponsors for each of these four young pupils, each of them requiring sponsorship support.
£12.50 per month is all it costs to support one child ... they are then assured to be in education, plus fed each day at school.
If anyone is able to help, please give me a shout 🙏🏽

Good morning all,
Next weekend, 5 supporters of the Future of Taru are looking to raise £3,000 for the charity, which will go towards completing the construction of a building at the Secondary School.
This is their sixth Coast2Coast fundraiser, with the first in 2021.
In those previous 5 rides they have cycled 1,060 miles, raising over £16,500 in the process! If they can complete this ride and hit their target, that will take them to over 1,240 miles cycled and over £19,000 raised!
We should add that they are not professional cyclists! But they are going to complete the route and hope to raise some significant funds towards finishing the development.
So if you are able to donate a few pounds towards our charity, hopefully you can help to continue to support the children who are the Future of Taru.
100% of monies donated will go directly into the charity. Any money the lads are spending on the cycling route is coming out of their own personal savings, including all of their transport costs, accommodation, food and drink, spare inner tubes and blister plasters!
