High Hesket C of E School

Year 2 had a fantastic day at Carlisle Castle 🏰

Year 3&4 loved playing some memory games today as part of their computing unit on the inside of computers. We played a pairs game and went on a QR code scavenger hunt!

Year 5 have continued their work on Micro:bits by programming them to be temperature sensors. The children chose different areas of the school to measure the temperature in.

Year 5 have started their science topic on forces by exploring gravity. We looked out how the gravitational force of each planet relates to its size and created scaled down diagrams on the playground before looking at data from NASA.

Huge congratulations to one of our ex pupils who recently competed with her cheerleading team and secured first place in the All Star World championships!

Year 5 have had great fun programming their microbits in computing this afternoon!

We are looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow for the first day of the Summer Term!

Wishing all of our families a wonderful Easter break. We will see you all when school reopens on Monday 13th April 2026.

A huge well done to one of our Year 6 pupils who competed at the National Cross Country championships in Kenilworth last weekend. We are all very proud of his perseverance throughout all of the stages! What an achievement!

Year 3&4 had a brilliant (but rainy!) time at Vindolanda on Tuesday!

We were proud of our year 4 girls who represented High Hesket School at a football tournament last week. The children all showed fantastic team work and determination, well done everyone! ⚽️ ⭐️
