We would love to take a moment to say a HUGE thank you to every member of staff, past and present, who have helped shape our school and supported our children throughout their learning journey.

Your dedication, care, and hard work have made a lasting difference to so many young lives. Our school is what it is today because of the incredible people who have been part of it over the years, and we are so grateful for everything you have done.

Quite simply, we would not be where we are without you. Thank you! โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

Today is Thank a Teacher Day, and across Cumbria Education Trust we want to say a heartfelt thank you to every single member of staff in our family of schools.

Thank you to our teachers, teaching assistants, support staff, admin teams, technicians, pastoral teams, site teams, catering staff, cleaners, IT teams, leaders, LAB members, Trust members and everyone who plays a part in supporting our children and young people.

Every lesson taught, every kind word, every bit of encouragement, every problem solved and every moment of care makes a difference.

Thank you for everything you do to help our pupils be the best they can be.

To show our support for England, children are invited to wear their England football shirts to school tomorrow!

Children should wear their England top with their usual school uniform trousers, shorts or skirts, along with their normal school shoes.

We canโ€™t wait to see everyone showing their support and cheering on England together! ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿฆ

๐Ÿ’ฌ Need a chat or some support? ๐Ÿ’ฌ
We are pleased to welcome Stuart from Spiral back into school on Friday 12th June for his next parent drop-in session, beginning at 1:30pm
This session will take place alongside our Summer Fayre, making it the perfect opportunity to chat with Stuart while you're already at school, enjoying the afternoon's activities.
These informal sessions provide a friendly, confidential space for parents and carers to talk through any concerns they may have about their children. Whether you are worried about online safety, friendships, wellbeing, behaviour, confidence, social media, emotional health, or simply need some advice and guidance, Stuart is happy to listen and help.
No concern is too big or too small, and Stuart is always happy to support families with a wide range of issues affecting children and young people.

๐ŸŽญ๐ŸŽถ What a fantastic treat we had today! ๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽญ

Thanks to our friends at NISCU, all of our children enjoyed a special puppet show packed full of singing, laughter and important stories linked to our RE curriculum.

The children absolutely loved the performance, joining in with the songs, laughing at the jokes and engaging with the messages shared throughout the show. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and hear the excitement around school afterwards!

A huge thank you to NISCU for organising this special visit and to the talented performers for bringing so much joy, energy and enthusiasm to our school. You certainly made our children very happy today!

๐ŸŒŸ Thank you for such a memorable morning! ๐ŸŒŸ

๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’š World Empathy Day ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒ

Today, our Eco Council celebrated World Empathy Day by thinking about how different living things might feel. Children put themselves in the shoes of animals, plants and people, completing sentences such as, โ€œI wish people wouldโ€ฆโ€ from their point of view.

The activity encouraged everyone to think carefully about how their actions affect the world around them and how small changes can help others, animals and the environment. We were so impressed with the thoughtful and caring ideas shared by the children. ๐ŸŒฑโœจ

Congratulations to all of the children who made it to the final round, and an extra special congratulations to our winners, who will now go on to represent Caldew Lea at the Innovate Finals! We wish them the very best of luck and cannot wait to see how their fantastic invention performs against other schools. We are incredibly proud of them and of every child who took part in this exciting competition. ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’ก๐Ÿ†
