Dear Christian Parent...
Let's talk.
You and I. Sit down and listen to understand so that you can take immediate action without pride or ego defeating the purpose of this talk I want to share with you now.
Do you know our Lord Jesus Christ, and do you love Him? If you do, then you should introduce your child/ren to Christ and to His love. The kind of love that is sacrificial and seen in Romans 12:1-2
Romans 12:1-2
[1]So then, my brothers and sisters, because of God's great mercy to us I appeal to you: offer yourselves as a living sacrifice to God, dedicated to his service and pleasing to him. This is the true worship that you should offer.
[2]Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God - what is good and is pleasing to him and is perfect.
The moment your child/ren can speak, and can understand, please show them the love of Christ, tell them all about why you are a Christian and why you believe in GOD, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
These days, children are searching for love and acceptance, and this has taken some children to a land of no return!!!
Children, especially GIRLs, are usually mindful. Their minds are full of so many things, questions that they do not understand. Avoid shutting her up. It will affect her self-esteem. They just want to enjoy a bond with you as their parent/guardian.
No matter the age of the child, they want to talk and be listened to.
They want to be children. Your child who is safe in your home and in the world.
They want to share their experiences and stories (remember when they started talking, they will call you one thousand times to tell you everything) but they begin to hide things or keep quiet when they notice you as a parent is not listening, contributing or laughing at their jokes.
Are you always too busy that your girl child/ teen becomes a stranger in your own home/ family?
No child outgrows being a child [even me, at my age, loves when my mum calls me and prays for me]. Your child wants your assurance that you love them and you do this by complimenting their efforts and sharing the love plus words of GOD with them.
Please let your girl child/ren experience the love you have for them. Let there be no doubt that you love them such that they don't search frantically for love/attention outside and fall victims to all sorts of crazy behaviour/people/addictions, etc.
As a Christian parent, practice what you teach/preach. Give your girl child a balanced view of life and love. From the WORD of GOD!!!
There is a terrible shifting in the world now, and children are under attack. Avoid your girl teen being hit in this catastrophic shifting as a result of a lack of love/attention from you as a Christian parent.
May we never fail in this all-important duty as Christian Parents...
