From pink high-viz to full VOA merch, Johnny made an iconic TV advert one of the most memorable to date…so who could be better to advertise our courses?💡

Not only is John known for this fabulous advert, but he is also known for his incredible acting career💚 alongside featuring on some incredible TV shows, John still makes time for education due to his passion for his industry. This is something that directly aligns with VOA’s values and it seemed like the perfect fit💡

Yes, even when it’s cloudy. Clouds block some UV, but over 90% of UV rays can still pass through cloud and cause sunburn ( , 2023)⛅️

Too much UV radiation from the sun is the main cause of skin cancer in the UK ( , 2023). It’s and we want to educate you all about the importance of enjoying the sun (and cloud) safely⛅️

Think about protecting your skin by:

🌒 Spending time in the shade – take a break under umbrellas, parasols or trees, or go inside, especially between 11am and 3pm in the UK.

🧢 Covering up – wear loose clothing that covers your shoulders. The more skin that’s covered, the better. Pair with a wide brimmed hat and UV protection sunglasses.

🧴 Using sunscreen – on bits that you can’t cover with clothes or shade. Apply sunscreen with at least SPF 30 and 4 or 5 stars regularly and generously.
