Wales Optometry Postgraduate Education Centre (WOPEC) remains the only dedicated postgraduate education centre in the world.
WOPEC is accommodated within a dedicated facility in the School of Optometry and Vision Sciences, Cardiff University.

Ym mis Gorffennaf treuliodd nifer o’n academyddion a 8 myfyrwyr Optometreg ail flwyddyn 12 diwrnod ym mhrifysgol Cape Coast. Buont yn cydweithio i rhoi cyflwyniadau a sgiliau chrefft I staff yr adran ac Optometryddion lleol. Gweithio gyda’r myfyrwyr Optometreg UCC, darparodd ein myfyrwyr ofal iechyd llygaid, plygiant a sbectol i gymunedau trwy eu clinigau allgymorth dyddiol yn yr ardal gyfagos.
In July, several of our academics and 8 second year Optometry students spent 12 days at the University of Cape Coast. They collaborated to deliver presentations and skills workshops to the department staff and local optometrists. Alongside the UCC optometry students our students delivered eye health care, refraction, and spectacles to communities via their daily outreach clinics in the surrounding area.
