💙 Why do we ask if you're taking steroids?

It's one of the most common questions we're asked, so here's why...

Many of our skincare studies are designed to measure how your skin naturally responds to a product. Steroid medications—including steroid tablets, creams, injections and many asthma inhalers—can reduce inflammation and alter your skin's normal response.

This means they can:
✔️ Affect study results
✔️ Make it difficult to accurately assess how well a product works
✔️ Impact the safety and scientific integrity of the research

For this reason, volunteers taking steroid medication may not be eligible for certain studies. This doesn't mean you can't take part with CuTest Systems—it simply means we'll look for a study that's more suitable for you.

💬 Always let us know about any medications you're taking when completing your medical questionnaire. Our clinical team will review your information and match you to studies you may be eligible for.
