We are making progress on expanding and simplifying our childcare plans, but you can still apply for the Childcare Offer for September as normal.
What a wonderful way to conclude our four-week holiday club with a trip to the Newport Medieval Ship project!
The children had an amazing time learning about the discovery of the sunken ship and the restoration efforts managed by a fantastic team of volunteers. They also enjoyed a game of hunting for the ship's rats, which showcased some great reading and writing skills. Additionally, the children got to dress up in traditional costumes and took part in a clay pottery lesson. We couldn't be prouder of their creativity.
If you'd like to visit the Newport Medieval Ship in the future, it's open on Fridays and Saturdays until the end of October. You can find more information at www.newportship.org.
It's a highly recommended visit that everyone enjoyed.
🌊🏖️ A day at Barry Island! 🏖️🌊
Our children told us they wanted to visit a “sandy” beach this summer, so we made sure it was added to our activity planner—and what a fantastic day we had!
The children had an amazing time jumping, splashing and playing in the waves 🌊, before getting creative on the sand by building their very own sandcastle village 🏰.
There was also plenty of digging going on… and when we say lots of holes, we mean LOTS! 😂 The children were determined to dig all the way down to reach the water underneath the sand.
It was wonderful to see their ideas and feedback helping to shape our activities and, most importantly, seeing them having so much fun together. 🐵❤️
A brilliant summer day full of laughter, teamwork, exploration and plenty of sandy toes! 🏖️☀️

Today, as we say goodbye to the beautiful Barbara, I’m taking a moment to celebrate the incredible legacy she created. 🤍
Thirteen years ago, Barbara created our nursery’s very special Jimmy Monkey 🐒❤️. Since then, Jimmy has become so much more than a cuddly toy, he has been part of our nursery family and has been on countless adventures with our children over the years.
Jimmy has travelled home with children, shared in family adventures, enjoyed special moments, and created so many wonderful memories. Each child who has taken Jimmy home has added another chapter to his story. 📖✨
I’m remembering Barbara with a very grateful heart. Her creativity, kindness and the special gift she gave our nursery 13 years ago continue to bring joy to our children every single day.
Thank you, Barbara, for creating Jimmy and for leaving such a beautiful, lasting part of yourself with us. Your legacy lives on through every adventure Jimmy goes on and every child who loves him. 🐒❤️
Rest peacefully, Barbara. You will be remembered with so much love. 🤍🕊️

Team slime workshop with the fabulous Nicola from The Crafty Club 🐵❤️

🩷 Our team got well and truly stuck into slime this evening!🩷
In preparation for our Holiday Club starting next week, our staff took part in an amazing Slime Workshop with the incredibly talented Nicola Carr from The Crafty Club and what a fantastic evening it was!
There were lots of laughs, plenty of teamwork, and everyone had so much fun creating some fabulous slime. The highlight of the day had to be the team challenge… watching everyone's faces as Nicola poured what felt like a mountain of glue all over the table to create one giant batch of slime was absolutely priceless! 😂
Diolch yn fawr iawn Nicola for such a fun, engaging workshop and for sharing so many brilliant ideas. We can't wait to get making slime with all of our children at Holiday Club next week! 🐵❤️
